“Chuck” alum Yvonne Strahovski joins “Dexter”

The StraHOTski has landed a killer new role. Former Chuck leading lady Yvonne Strahovski has signed on to do a multi-episode arc on the hit serial killer series Dexter.

According to TVLine.com, Strahovski will play Hannah McKay, “a strong, independent woman with a past that she’s struggled to put behind her.” She will apparently help Miami Metro Homicide, and its blood spatter pattern analyst Dexter Morgan, solve old cases. Dexter then starts to wonder if “there’s more to this woman than she’s professed.”

That’s all fine and good, but in my head Strahovski’s Hannah convinces Deb it’s gross to fall in love with her adoptive brother and to finally give women a chance. My head is a good place to live.

Since Chuck ended its run in January, Strahovski has shot on two films, a comedy with Seth Rogen and thriller with Aaron Eckhart. But it’ll be very nice to have the Aussie actress back on our TV screens where we fell in love with her in the first place. And, I’m really not kidding about that Deb Morgan romance thing. Given her terrible taste in men over the years, it only makes sense she should finally give ladies a go. And, really, who better.
