The women of “CSI”: who’s the hottest?

When I did a post on women who were turning 50 in 2008, I was dismayed to find few previous AfterEllen.com mentions of one of those women, Marg Helgenberger. As it turns out, we have not been too attentive of CSI, in general. I have to confess, I don’t watch any of the CSI shows regularly. I thought it was because of the goriness, but my love of all things Dexter sort of blew that theory out of the water. I have, however, always been appreciative of the CSI casting directors’ taste in women. Despite the fact that they let my favorite investigator go. Now, research has confirmed that, indeed, the women of CSI

are hot. Duh. I won’t go into the particulars of the survey because, frankly, it’s lame. But, in one of the questions, researchers asked men which of three CSI women they’d most like to romance: Calleigh Duquesne (Emily Procter) of CSI: Miami, Catherine Willows (Marg Helgenberger) of the original CSI or Stella Bonasera (Melina Kanakaredes) of CSI: New York.

The results? Calleigh/Emily won, with 37 percent of the vote. Next was Catherine/Marg with 34 percent. Bonasera/Kanakaredes was third with 27 percent. Well, OK. Although I personally have never seen the attraction of Kanakaredes (I’m a little afraid of her hair), I can live with the ranking. But why just those three? I can think of four other hot women on the various incarnations of CSI – and I’m not even a die-hard fan. Sofia Curtis (Louise Lombard), for example. Or the very epitome of hotness, Alexx Woods (Khandi Alexander). And what about Linsday Monroe (Anna Belknap)? Wendy Simms (Liz Vassey) deserves a spot, too, although I’m not crazy about Simms. I liked Vassey better on The Tick. (Although she should’ve been American Maid, not Captain Liberty. The real Tick knew nothing of this Captain Liberty person. But I digress.) Of course, no research is as valid as what we do right here at AfterEllen.com. So let’s do a study of our own. Who’s the hottest woman of CSI? Which one would you like to be with in, you know, that special way?

Oh, and Sara Sidle is not eligible. That just wouldn’t be fair.
