The AfterEllen.com Huddle: Six-Word Memoirs

You’ve probably heard of the six-word memoir before, but in case you haven’t, it started as a project by SMITH magazine and has since turned into a book series and frequent challenge among those who appreciate words or riddles. So we’re putting ourselves (and you) to the test in this week’s huddle. Describe your life, using exactly six words.

Bridget McManus: Please don’t pet me, I’m working.

Jill Guccini: West Coast living; East Coast heart.

Punky Starshine: After the rain came a rainbow.

Dorothy Snarker: Misanthropic, but in a nice way.

Lucy Hallowell: Pretty bleak. Then she kissed me.

Lindsey Byrnes: A picture’s worth a thousand words.

Elaine Atwell: Come out and play with me.

Karman Kregloe: Dreaming up my next big adventure.

Ali Davis: Well, at least it was funny.

Dana Piccoli: My best songs haven’t been written.

Heather Hogan: Still waiting on my Hogwarts letter.

Dara Nai: Luckier than I deserve to be.

Emily Hartl: Wild were the times she had.

Grace Chu: When does this hamster wheel stop?

Sarah Terez Rosenblum: Played “dildo” in Scrabble; sorry, mom.

Trish Bendix: Preferred standing out to fitting in.

What’s yours? No going over (or under) six.
