All My ChildrenBrunch With Bridget: Episode 18 "Brunch with BAM"Yes, it's true. We've been teasing this episode of Brunch with Bridget just like a soap opera. Week upon week of build-up, leaving you wondering "Will it pay off?" The answer is: Yes. Wait no longer. BAM themselves, Eden Riegel (Bianca) and Elizabeth Hendrickson (Maggie) from All My Children fame are Bridget's bedmates this week. The girls answer your questions about their ground-breaking roles on AMC, explain the necessity (or lack thereof) of Zarf to Bridget, and get frisky with a sock monkey. Most importantly, they allow Bridget to fulfill her directorial fantasies (and probably a few fantasies of your own) by acting out a "lost" AMC scene (i.e. one that Bridget wrote) that brings Bianca and Maggie close once again. Really close.
The girls also talk about their post-AMC careers, including their latest project, Imaginary Bitches. You can watch Imaginary Bitches here. You also have a chance to win the sock monkey seen in this episode and autographed by Eden and Elizabeth. Go here for details in how to participate in the AfterEllen.com BAM contest. I do a lot of the talking in this one (for a change), since Lori doesn't know the details of most of these shows or characters. But Lori gets in some good zingers — when she's not letting her eyebrows do all the talking. … continue reading Submitted on December 3, 2007 at 6:20 pm “50 Greatest TV Icons” — and 5 Great TV DykonsI really like my Entertainment Weekly subscription. It was a total suckered-in kind of thing. I got the “free trial” that I was going to cancel before the not-free period began. Right. But I enjoy the magazine, and I particularly appreciate the subscription when I learn of fun things — such as the Entertainment Weeky/TV Land special The 50 Greatest TV Icons, scheduled to air this Friday night. I'll be out of town on Friday night, but my DVR is already set. I love me some TV and I want to know who is crowned the Greatest TV Icon of all time. I know who I'd pick: Kermit the Frog.
Unfortunately, I suspect that Kermit will not be number one because he's pictured in the listing in the magazine. Where would the suspense be then? But let's watch a video of TV icon Kermit singing his iconic song, “The Rainbow Connection,” with punk icon Debbie Harry — just because it's fun. … continue reading Submitted on November 12, 2007 at 3:31 pm |
