This Just Out with Liz Feldman: Jealous Girlfriends, Barbies and Shane

Here it is, Ladies and Gentleladies, the very first episode of This Just Out with Liz Feldman!

Liz is a 4-time Emmy winner for her work as a writer/producer on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. Being the over-achiever that she is, Liz is now launching her own limited-run kitchen table comedy show, where she'll be keeping you abreast of the latest and greatest and nearest and queerest. It's a no-budget thrill-ride that's low on tech and high on life.

In this week's episode, Liz is joined by Shane from The L Word (also known as Kate Moennig)! Hold on to your pants — this is one steamy interview! Kinda. (And without spoiling the episode, let me just clarify for those wondering: yes, Kate is on on the joke here.)

Nicole Kidman plays Dusty, Ellen is up for more Emmys, and more!

Brunch With Bridget: Episode 16 "Brunch with Blazers"

Bridget's back in L.A. this week, with comedian extraordinaire Liz "Heart-hole" Feldman. As many of you know, Liz won four Emmys for her writing on a little program called The Ellen DeGeneres Show, which you can read about in her recent interview with AfterEllen.com. But in addition to being a famous writer, Liz is also a semi-professional photographer and a staunch blazer advocate. Watch and learn.

I don't know which of Liz's moments I liked best in this episode: describing the Basic Instinct-in-a-cardboard box incident, showing us her teen comedy headshots, or actually making Bridget blush.

Regardless, Bridget has clearly met her match. Bravo, Liz! Bravo!

Dinah 2008 AfterEllen.com AfterNoon: Stand-Up

At last week's Dinah Shore Weekend, out comedians Jackie Jones, Liz Feldman, and Bridget McManus made us laugh us with stories about Dinah, personal revelations, and a very sweet and funny (and unusually profanity-free) lesbian sorority song Bridget sprung on me surprised me with at the event.

Naturally, we filmed the stand-up so all of you at home could join in the fun, and because we needed more video to edit between the hours of 2am and 6am. (Sleep? Who needs sleep?!)

Unfortunately, due to technical issues during Jackie's opening set (the mic didn't work), we weren't able to include her footage here, but we have most of Liz and Bridget's for your comedic enjoyment.

Bridget McManus

Bridget being Bridget, we couldn't include her last song in our video because, well, my arm got tired from bleeping out all the f-words only a few seconds in. But you can mosey on over to Bridget's MySpace profile if you want to see the song in all its profanity-laden glory. And check out Liz's MySpace page and Jackie's MySpace page for more lesbian hilarity.

Look for the improv portion of the AfterEllen.com AfterNoon in the next day or two, and more stand-up through-out the week from the Logo Comedy Cocktail Hour at Dinah. (We can sleep when we're dead!)

We're Getting Nowhere: "The L Word" 5.12

This week marked the season finale of The L Word. And for such a grand occasion, we thought it fitting to invite our own posse of troublemakers to join us for our vlog. You can call them our "friends" if you like, but I prefer to think of them as "repeat offenders." (Or maybe both terms are correct.)

Accompanying us on the enchanted sofa this week are actresses Meredith Scott Lynn and Coley Sohn, and comedians Liz Feldman and Bridget McManus. We also had an unexpected visitor, a lovely girl whose car broke down in front of Jill's house. I don't think she knew what she was walking into when she asked to use the phone.

Strap yourself in (heh) for a trainwreck of a vlog. Too many women, too many opinions, too many mimosas. Need I say more?

We're Getting Nowhere: "The L Word" 5.10

This week, episode 10 of The L Word qualified as A Very Special Episode for several reasons: 1.) Memories of the dearly departed Dana were evoked when the girls rode for her in the Pink Ride 2.) Alice and Tasha decided to shack up 3.) Bette and Tina got themselves busted for their illicit affair (with a nice assist from Alice) 4.) Molly took a sexual plunge with Shane and 5.) Jenny and Niki got kinky with some sex toys and made a steamy "home movie."

The only down side is that afterwards I had this little jingle rolling through my head afterwards: "Strap-on, strap-off. Strap-on, strap-off, the strapper!" Is it weird that watching Jenny and Niki's sex antics this week made me think of the theme song for the indispensable sound activated electrical gadget known as The Clapper? Yeah, I guess it is.

Anyway, while our comedy sharp-shooter Dara is still MIA, we are joined on the enchanted sofa this week by Emmy award-winning writer Liz Feldman (Ellen: The Ellen DeGeneres Show). Liz was a good sport who was all too willing to participate in an endless "athletic" montage and an ill-advised round of the party game "I Never" like the ones we saw on Episode 10 of The L Word. Unlike in The L Word, however, our episode of WGN didn't end in tears or a sex scandal in the making. (At least I hope it didn't!)
