Brunch With Bridget: Episode 19 "Chaps and Spurs"

Yeehaw! That's all we can say about Bridget's blog this week with our favorite Cherokee cowgirl, writer and producer Nancylee Myatt (3Way, South of Nowhere, Nikki & Nora)

Bridget gets in bed with the woman who oversaw the birth of Spashley (although she doesn't really talk about that in the vlog); who created the greatest show (Nikki & Nora) about a couple of "ladycops" that you never saw on network television; and who had the huevos to put Maile Flanagan, Jill Bennett, Maeve Quinlan and Cathy Shim in a lesbian comedy together.

In addition to talking about Nancylee's career in television, Bridget and Nancylee also play with horses and buffalos (plastic) and talk about why spurs in bed are actually a bad idea (at least when they're worn by Bridget), while Baby Bridget officiates A Very Special Lesbian Doll Wedding. It's weird.

This Just Out with Liz Feldman: Jealous Girlfriends, Barbies and Shane

Here it is, Ladies and Gentleladies, the very first episode of This Just Out with Liz Feldman!

Liz is a 4-time Emmy winner for her work as a writer/producer on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. Being the over-achiever that she is, Liz is now launching her own limited-run kitchen table comedy show, where she'll be keeping you abreast of the latest and greatest and nearest and queerest. It's a no-budget thrill-ride that's low on tech and high on life.

In this week's episode, Liz is joined by Shane from The L Word (also known as Kate Moennig)! Hold on to your pants — this is one steamy interview! Kinda. (And without spoiling the episode, let me just clarify for those wondering: yes, Kate is on on the joke here.)

Brunch With Bridget: Episode 18 "Brunch with BAM"

Yes, it's true. We've been teasing this episode of Brunch with Bridget just like a soap opera. Week upon week of build-up, leaving you wondering "Will it pay off?"

The answer is: Yes. Wait no longer. BAM themselves, Eden Riegel (Bianca) and Elizabeth Hendrickson (Maggie) from All My Children fame are Bridget's bedmates this week. The girls answer your questions about their ground-breaking roles on AMC, explain the necessity (or lack thereof) of Zarf to Bridget, and get frisky with a sock monkey.

Most importantly, they allow Bridget to fulfill her directorial fantasies (and probably a few fantasies of your own) by acting out a "lost" AMC scene (i.e. one that Bridget wrote) that brings Bianca and Maggie close once again.

Really close.

The girls also talk about their post-AMC careers, including their latest project, Imaginary Bitches. You can watch Imaginary Bitches here.

You also have a chance to win the sock monkey seen in this episode and autographed by Eden and Elizabeth. Go here for details in how to participate in the AfterEllen.com BAM contest.

You Can't Take Them Anywhere! Dinah 2008

For our latest YCTTA adventure, Bridget and I traveled to Palm Springs for that legendary event known as The Dinah. It's where lesbians from all over gather together to dance in their swimsuits, wait in line for drink tickets, and avoid their exes.

In addition to that kind of fun, quite a few celezbians were participating in the fashion show, performing music and comedy, and touting their wares. We talked to a number of them on the red carpet Friday night before the fire marshal shut us down for causing a mob scene. (Yeah, we're pretty proud of that one. No, they did not hose us down, much to Bridget's dismay.)

Among them were Dani Campbell (A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila), who told us about her new fashion line, and Kate McKinnon of The Big Gay Sketch Show, who confessed her obsession with the Food Network. Jenny Shimizu (Dante's Cove) showed up in colorful attire, reminding us that we were not as cool as her because we actually followed directions and wore white to the white party. (Just kidding! We didn't need to be reminded that we're not as cool as Jenny. We already knew.)

So put on your best white outfit, sit back, and hear what the celesbians have to say about Dinah...
