Law & Order: Lady Justice — The Olivia Benson & Alex Cabot Story is happening, people! OK, not exactly. But Stephanie March is returning to Law & Order: SVU, along with fellow former ADA Diane Neal. Both women will be back for the show’s upcoming 13th season, according to TV Guide.
The former castmates arrive on scene during a period of upheaval for the long-running series. Series star Chris Meloni did not sign on for the show’s new season and partner Mariska Hargitay will change roles on the show, switching from co-lead detective to a supervisory role mid-way through the season. Producers have added Chase alum Kelli Giddish and Cold Case star Danny Pino to take over as detectives. But the good news is Entertainment Weekly reports that Hargitay will still star in every episode next season.
Both March and Neal have returned to the crime series since leaving their regular roles. March was back as an assistant ADA in the show’s 11th season and Neal was back briefly last season. No word yet on how many episodes each woman will appear in yet. But, with all the changes, it’ll be nice to have the familiar faces of ADA Alex Cabot for ADA Casey Novak back.
And for the fangirls, it’ll be great to have one of the best ships in the Law & Order universe back on TV to enjoy and fantasize about. So, excited to have March and Neal back? Ready for some Lady Justice? Bring it on, ladies.
