Dating Judy Gold
lauren should have one as
lauren should have one as well
I'm gonna have to go along
I'm gonna have to go along with that one. Lauren's the cutest thing ever and I totally have a crush on her, but shhh, don't tell. If I wasn't 18 I'd totally track her down.
Up until the punching, it was a real nice party...
yup
She absolutely should have
Great show
Hey i really love you're website, its really liberating that you cover such a broad spectrum, as a bisexual woman we tend to be forgotten about in a sea of gay and lesbian websites so thank you for such an acknowledgment, i hope the show is picked up down the line by a TV network and we'll some day concur the world, hehe,
Cheers mate,

Some advice
You
"Paraiba masculina mulher macho sim senhor!"I want to Date YOU, Sara Warn! We have so many things in common, like... we both have a girlfriend, etc.

good intro
shoes
lol i thought i was the only one that noticed. i love lauren's shoes :]
good intro
Lauren was slightly nervous....the eye flicker...however very cute and it was great to hear Sarah
the introduction of the bleep!
lol i think this is the first time i've heard a bleep on this show. it was funny. the music kinda threw me off, too. it started so randomly. but i love the show. it's always great to watch.
i liked how lauren introduced the show. she was adorably awkward.
Um... I have that shirt...
I have the shirt that says " You looked better on myspace..." LOL, damn being a stupid college student. Yay for these webisodes (is that right?)! I love watching these, they crack me up. And while I am not very knowledgeable of the guests, I still love learning new things from all of these women. Thanks AE!
" But soft! What light through yonder window breaks? It is the East and Juliet is the sun! Arise fair sun and kill the envious moon." - Sometimes I feel like Romeo.
On a shallow sartorial note...
Staceyann looks cute with her hair in bunches.
Chagmion looks so glamorous this week! Really great outfit.... I want those boots!
Sarah looks stylish, as per usual.
Lauren has her "young Jennifer Aniston thing" going on.
My only quarrel with this week's episode is there wasn't enough of the hosts talking amongst each other! Normally you start off with a roundtable foursome before going into the interview... and I have to say that's usually my favourite part. Are you changing the format so that the guest is there all the way through the show? Or was that just a one-off for this week?
Also... where are the threads for people who want to date Staceyann/Chagmion/Lauren? :P I would say Sarah as well but we know she's already taken.
The Bleep!!! Stop using it!
I am shocked! Why did you decide to use the bleep? What for? Why are you censoring yourself? I find it very annoying and i don't think it is right to use this. Yes swearwords aren't nice, but don't pretend you don't use them. Be honest! Everyone knows what the bleep is for anyway! And for those of us not having english as native language it is easier to understand what is being said without this damn bleep!

Bleeping
We didn't just start bleeping, we've never had to bleep before because my co-hosts and I don't swear on the show, and neither do most of our guests. But swearing is part of Judy's schtick, and we wanted her to be able to relax and be herself, so we figured it would be better to bleep it out later rather than ask her to monitor it herself. I don't expect that we'll have to do this very often in the future, just once in awhile.
If you've been reading AfterEllen for awhile, though, you'll notice we've always asterisked-out the "f" word (and words like it), or only allowed it very sparingly when it was a direct quote or somehow absolutely necessary to the article or recap. This was a decision I made years ago when I started the site because we had a lot of teenager readers, and because I already had enough of an uphill climb trying to get the respect of mainstream journalists, publicists, and companies, whom we need to get interviews, reviews, and advertisers (because we're a lesbian site and everyone already thinks that means porn).
Sorry to those of you to whom it bothers, but hopefully you'll understand why it needs to stay this way. And God knows there are plenty of other places online you can swear quite freely. :)
lol
the bleeps added to the hilarity of the situation. lol and i like how everyone just started shouting at one point.
this was by far the funniest episode yet :]
Hi. I don't mind the bleeps
Hi. I don't mind the bleeps or cussing..I'm fine either way, and I totally understand your choice to omit curse words. Could you possible use a "prettier" sounding *bleep*...that's not so high pitched...it kind of bothers my ears. Thanks!!!

lauren blitzer and show
I love her outfit she have on and plus her hair like better than ever she should be a model and her breast look amazing in everything she wear and the ass even though you can't really see it she get some junk in her trunk.
Ok abou t the show i love the show because it is the other show that is open about life and the main reason reason i like is because they have lesbian on the show.
Cute intro
Awww...Lauren's adorable doing the intro!
I didn't mind the bleeping that much but is there a way you could mute it instead? Because the bleep are somewhat piercing.
hmm
That was interesting, and a bit scary at the same time. I think Judy put out one of my eardrums.
Oh yeah, who goes on an online dating site without a picture?
Another comment about Lauren
about lauren once again :)
i totally agree that lauren is extremely cute and she should have her own dating thread!!! all the girls should :)
alright, alrighttttttt
i think if i were lauren i'd be experiencing quite the range of emotions right about now....
flattery, of course. fear- yeah that'd probably be another big one. let's try not to scare her too much, eh?
LOL
hahahahhhhhhhh she's probably getting a bodyguard as we speak... er.. i mean type.
oh and i find it pretty funny how some people are treating her like a piece of meat. calm down people!
Totaly true
"i think if i were lauren i'd be experiencing [...] fear- yeah that'd probably be another big one".
I thinks so, too

LOL
This episode is hilarious! Love the show, watch it every week. Judy is soooo funny!
transcripts
Hi I want to thank you for the transcripts. Since I am profoundly deaf, it's pretty difficult for me to know what's going on with your video clips. However, if it is not too much for you and the editors, can you make transcripts for the early episodes? Deaf/hard of hearing people, including me, would be very happy! Oh, I cannot wait to see the episode in which you will invite the director and the cast of 'Gray Matter'. It's so cool!
i'll try...
it was a logical decision - to start with the most recent eps, and then working my way back... eventually i'll get here, hopefully. and i'm glad you like it. =)

Really...
Another fun episode :) I don't mind the bleeps... The guests are great and I like the variation :)
But I was wondering ppl, what's up with saying lauren is cute 100x (and everyone else too of course)? And like... how do you watch if you notice what shoes she's wearing? (Am I the only one seeing the table there?) or what kind of watch she has? o.O

3 questions
1. Is Chagmion haitian?( My parents would be happy that I atleast found a nice haitian girl...LOL)
2. Where are Stacy's shoes?
3. Has Lauren issued an order of protection against members of this site yet?
Staceyann's shoes
Intense
I thought the show started more intense than the others, which is ok but I really miss the four-way conference at the beginning.
Noticed the room a lot in this one though, wonder what the names of the books are in the shelves behind and that white rug is funny.
lol I was wondering about
lol I was wondering about those books too...

Sarah was correct
First, Judy Gold is great. She's made me laugh for a long time and until maybe last year or so, I had no idea she was gay. I have no Gay-dar to speak of...none.
But back to Sarah's comments about all lesbians being lumped together by the media in our likes, dislikes, and interests. You were dead on. I've felt that way for a long time and sometimes I think the gay media is just as bad about painting lesbians with a broad brush the way the straight media does. That's why I like reading AE, you get "it." Such a variety of things to read, watch, etc. Just because we're all lesbians, doesn't mean we're all alike. Shocking revelations on AE!
One example, the movie Tansamerica. I have not seen it and damn that Netflix, it keeps suggesting it to me. Why? Because I rent (among other genres) "lesbian" movies. It's not that I don't want to see it, but I have no motivation to see it either. I could take or leave it. Just as I don't really have the motivation to see a coming of age story about a gay, teen boy in Amsterdam. Go figure, I just don't relate to it. So Netflix, please stop suggesting these movies to me as "Movies I'll (heart)"
Excellent comments. Way to
Excellent comments. Way to represent the FSU LGBT community!
But see, that's just it. We are an LGBT community. I feel that while lesbians, gays, bisexuals and transgendered people are very different and obviously have very diverse interests and concerns, we should support each other whole-heartedly. And that doesn't always have to mean support in struggles over rights. Support can just mean getting to know someone, taking the time out to learn about someone else's life and listening to them about what makes them who they are. I feel like trans men and women have a hard time getting that support from both the gay and straight communities. And I do believe that as lesbians, since we know what it feels like to be shunned, pigeonholed and oppressed, we should at least lend a shoulder and an open ear to anyone else who feels that way too.
P.S. I love this show, especially Staceyann. Keep up the fabulous work! (:
I agree with you to a point
In a perfect world everyone would be empathetic towards their fellow---homosapien . However, I don't understand how or why Transgendered/Transexual issues are automatically lumped in with Gay and Lesbian issues. As you stated previously, we are two very different communities (Unless, however, we are speaking of gay & lesbian identified trans people).
As a black person it would be unrealistic to expect all Lesbians/Gays to support the black community or even the black gay community for that matter. The same goes for this issue.
Additionally a great deal of trans people identify as straight. Therein I have trouble accepting that a straight trans man is any more a member of "my community" than a Non-trans straight guy.
There are more issues I have with this but I'll go on forever...
queer
i think that while it may be unrealistic to expect lesbian and gay people to support the trans community, or for the white gay and lesbian community to relate to or support the black sgl community, i would hope there would be an effort to understand on some level. because there's a difference between not being well informed and having an open mind, and being willfully ignorant. the fact of the matter is that trans issues will always be linked with lesbigay issues because we all fall under the queer expanse. and i don't think that mainstream society has the same incentive those of us in the queer community have to delineate the differences between trans and lesbigay issues or the intracacies of the trans community. a lot of trans people are our friends and lovers and may have identified as lesbians or gay men at one point.
you and i definitely differ in opinion on one other issue. in my personal experience with trans people, whether they consider themselves straight, gay, etc, they always seem to at least have a queer sensibility.(unless they decide to completely ally themselves with and pass into mainstream society. i honestly don't know too many of those folks, probably because they're not in the queer milieu). so i have no problem accepting a transgendered or transsexual person into my community no matter how they choose to identify.
that's just my 2 cents on the issue
re:
What a breath of fresh air your comment was! I have absolutely no issues with my gender (not that I would call queerness an "issue" anyway) but I wouldn't ever presume to belong anymore to the lgbT community than they would to the Lgbt community. L,G,B, and T are all seperate distinct identities, but also all fall under the broader umbrella of 'queer'. Within those identities it is also possible to further narrow (butch, baby dyke etc.). But here's the thing: in my opinion its not so much about labels, its about community. Whether we'd pick out the same stuff at blockbuster is about 100th on my list of criteria for who can belong to that community. While not all lebians have "gender issues," many are more 'in touch with their masculinity,' than straight woman, possibly partiably because our community allows the space for it. Both transpeople and dykes experience "coming out," we have idenitities, and relationships, and lives that other people see as "alternative lifestyle choices," we are the targets of violence and blame, and we fight- together or alone- for full acceptance in the families, cities, and countries where we live. I'd rather fight together. Sarah, I know that you took pains to point out that no one wants to deny transpeople civil rights, but not standing in the way of legal equality is only the tip of the iceberg of correcting the ijustice of second class citizenship.
I also totally agree about transpeople being marginal in both gay and straight worlds. It costs NOTHING to accept and support someone, and hurts everyone to exclude and 'other' someone because they are (not that) different from "us"(lezzie/gay). Remember how lesbians had to fight to be accepted by feminists who thought that the woman's movement should be hetero-only. Please.
Lauren Blitzer
Okay a rather sensitive question but has our Ms Blitzer had a nose job, see pic..she is the one on the left.
nose job
curiosty
err

what is this?
us weekly? are we going to be dissecting the women on this site based on completely superficial, irrelevant shit now? this is dumb....the lauren hysteria has reached a new low.
