Funny how Linda, Chagmion and Sarah W were dressed alike, so cute that despite everything they get dress-codes in!!!

We all walked onto the set in our jeans and black shirts and burst out laughing. It was too late to go home and change shirts, and anyway, we figured people would still be able to tell us apart. :)

Personally I'm not sure that I would automatically tag any of the four hosts as gay if I saw them walking down the street... but then maybe I have bad gaydar!

It's interesting that all four of you are lesbians rather than bi... did you ever think of having a bisexual woman on the show (as a host I mean)? Or did it just happen to work out that you are all gay? I was just thinking if you had a bi girl then she could speak up when bi issues are discussed (though you did a nice job a few weeks ago speaking up for the bi girls, Sarah! I appreciate that!)

Hi Sarah... thanks for the reply... I totally hadn't realised Chagmion was bi! I'll have to go back and watch the previous episodes more carefully.

I have to say that I really, really love this show. I was a huge AfterEllen fan before, but the show has almost instantly become my favourite part of the site. You are totally the bomb Sarah, coming up with new and interesting ideas! You're a one-woman lesbian entertainment machine! LOL.

Great show!! I'm very interested in the theory about having 'lesbian hands' and I managed to see most of your fingers (except for Sarah) and you fit the profile. I wouldn't have pegged Lauren as gay....except for the way she sits...and once having looked at her hands, she may have pinged.... in fact none of you ping for me. Guess my gaydar needs tuning, huh? ;-P

if you don't want to slit ur veins open over loneliness this valentine's do what me and my single friends have been doing for 2 years now: the dateless date day... sorta like secret santa, where u have to take out to dinner one of your friends (whose name u picked from a bowl) and after dinner we all get back together and get wasted (since we've been friends since preschool we ommit the "pouncing" part... and even if the "get-her-wasted-trick"it's one of the oldest in the book it's the most effective ha!)...
Also i loved seeing the gay so not gay part... trust me on this one: it'll become the new gay drinking game. By the way, lisaR it cracked me up what u said about gay watches, i couldn't help staring at my wrist and laugh, i didnt think i owned anything that gave me away so fast... lol

sarah - look. i'm a normal, non threatening woman with a huge heart, an ivy league education in business with a great apartment in the village. i love my family, my twin sister is my best friend and i travel when life gets too sticky. i am solid when it comes to music, theatre and the art scene but i hate the girl bars (where i hear you can see lauren if you hit the right night,) i won't hit the right night because i am probably taking black and white photos of some cute kid and his dog on perry street at midnight how, sarah, do i meet lauren blitzer? would you chaperone us out on a date? maybe to go hit golf balls at chelsea piers, or to take a long run along the river in paris? or a walk to the george washington bridge for a picnic at bubba's? i just want one afternoon with her to talk - make that smile come alive and talk to her about life and where that's going. but i need help. and yes, i am cute. as cute as she is, just a little less glamerous. i am tomboy to her femininity and i am quick with a respnse to her more shy side. i have great eyes, hands and hair. i am in shape and pierce only my tongue. but mostly, i am kind and will be gentle with her. no stalking. just a lunch. sarah, can you make this happen? i think we would really like each other. had floor seats to justin timberlake the other night and wanted her there with me. took my 72 year old neighbor. it was a blast. without sounding desperate, how do i pull this off? it she doesn't like me, she leaves. but i am confident that she will want to at least kiss me. once. i have good lips and kiss like i live - with passion and conviction. can you help? she said that she was single - come on. it's worth a try. i promise that she will thank you - maybe there won't be a love connection, but lauren will feel alive and stumulated and like she met a good new friend. we all need those. and she'll breathe. hydrate. and laugh. please advise.

1st of all for this site. I've been login for 3 years now (but recently took the time to register) and my lesbo culture have increase (thanks to you). And 2nd of all, for this new show. I've been waiting for it every week now, and it's getting better each week. I always have a smile on while watching it.

Gaydar? Ah pish posh. I have ZERO. NONE. I also apparently do not give out "gay signals" -- Whatever the H that is supposed to mean. I think I am going to design myself a cute little t-shirt that says "TOTAL LESBIAN." Which I will have to wait until June to wear, because it's -1,000 degrees here in Chicago. That's right, negative. Why do I find myself always complaining about the weather? I am going to go google the term gaydar, where I will shortly realize it only addresses gay men, and then I am going to become a nun. Seems as if the episodes are getting better. I grinned when I noticed the "incidental" dress code. And whodathunk Lauren's single? I bet that gorgeous woman could have women lined up down a block or two ;)

I thought I posted this already but it's not showing up, so I'm going to embarrass myself: How can you tell a woman is gay just by looking at her hands? Is it a nail thing or are there other factors as well?

p.s. i have the worst gaydar in history. somebody should write a guide for improving gaydar, especially with feminine women, AND a guide on how to give off sexaul vibes to women and 'get away' signals to men (no offense, bi girls).

By somebody I mean probably Lauren Blitzer.

It goes something along the lines that whilst we were in the womb we may have received more testosterone or something to that effect and thus we have, on our left hand, a longer ring finger than index finger(pointing finger). I've tried it out and it seems to be quite a common indicator in my group of friends. Every now and then, though, you get a straight woman with the same phenonomen.... but it generally rings true, in my experience.

Yeah, I've tried that too, since I saw it on the first episode of The L Word, and it has worked pretty well... I also used it on my relatives, with the excuse that it means "to have a knack for creative arts". It's funny when they try it and their index finger is longer... At least this way I know none of my relatives are gay! xD

Hey there! LOL i have been on this site about..hmm 6 -12 months now and i totally love it! i didnt know ANYthing before this site lol. I totally love she said what? its so entertaining and funny. Sarah, its great to see the face behind the website so to speak.. all you ladies are endearing.

I would have pegged Lauren(hot!) as straight too if I saw her on the street based on appearence. And I thought the hand theory was that gay girls have shorter nails. But what do I know, my gaydar is horrible.

Sarah, is it possible to make the viewing screen on podcast bigger? The actual size is a bit small, so when I maximize the screen, the picture/pixel breaks and everything is becoming a bit blurry. Or, can anybody help me with this? Is there a setting on my iTunes that I should change? Thanks.

"if you're single on valentines day set a trap...and wait for something (someone) to fall in." i spit out my soda when i heard that one. i love chagmione's deadpan humor. i have to say that i probably wouldn't peg any of the ladies on the show as gay except for sarah. i've always liked linda villarosa, it was pretty courageous of her to come out in 1991. her new book sounds reminiscent of the movie "lianna". and i can't wait to see more of tasha on the l-word. she's so stunning.

I thought one of my coworkers was gay, you know, the piercing, the tattoo, the hair (I know..I know, I shouldn't stereotype, but I read the 10 or was it 20 must-have lesbian accessories..so..), well it turned out she's not, just 3 days ago, she told us about her boyfriend..(too bad though, she is kinda cute).

And I would have to agree about Lauren, if I ever walk past by her, I would never have guessed she's gay.
