Sheetal Sheth, Heather Peace, Archie Panjabi and more weigh in with their AfterEllen Hot 100 picks!

One fun thing about AfterEllen.com is that we love celebrities who love us back. They’re always shouting us and our readers out on Twitter and Facebook and expressing sincere gratitude when they rank in our annual AfterEllen Hot 100. (Vote now!) Tina Fey even told Conan O’Brien about us when she ranked seventh in the 2006 Hot 100 (the shout-out earned her the top spot the next year!). So it’s no surprise that celebs want to cast their own votes in our poll. Below are some of our favorite entertainers’ Hot 100 picks.

The Good Wife‘s Jill Flint chose: Kate Winslet and Helen Mirren.

Lip Service‘s Heather Peace:

I don’t really have crushes anymore. Hmm. Can I have Gabriella Sabatini in her hey day? I also used to have a very heavy crush on the blonde actress who was in the first few series of Ally McBeal. Not Portia de Rossi, the one before that with the very strong jawline! I was very young before you ask.

Finding Bigfoot‘s Ranae Holland chose: Kate Winslet, Rachel Weisz, Emily Blunt, and Ellen Page (“To throw in an American”).

Chelsea Lately‘s Fortune Feimster:

1. Chelsea Handler — Not only is she hilarious and hot, but she also happens to pay my bills, which will always make her number one in my book!

2. Hillary Clinton — Nothing hotter than a smart woman, and I think she just keeps getting better with age. All I’m saying is Hillary 2016!

3. BeyoncĂ© — I’m not going to lie, I like a little junk in the trunk and BeyoncĂ© certainly knows how to shake what her mama gave her!

3. Rachel McAdams — I have enormous crush on her and I just keep hoping she’ll want to reenact scenes from The Notebook with me.

4. Cat Deeley — I’m a huge fan of So You Think You Can Dance and we happened to share a moment when I went to see a taping of the show. I’m sure she hasn’t been the same since.

5. Brandi Carlile — She’s got such a cool, unique voice and it certainly doesn’t hurt that she’s a good looking gay lady! Everybody should check out her music.

The Good Wife‘s Archie Panjabi chose: Emmy Rossum.

The Voice‘s Vicci Martinez chose: Katy Perry and Zooey Deschanel.

JD Samson chose: Venus X and Lauren Flax.

Julie Ann Bee (Sea of Bees) chose: Kaya Scodelario from Skins.

Sheetal Sheth says:

I have a hard time with lists. So just know this one comes with a caveat. I love women. I am a huge supporter of women and abhor when we aren’t supportive and loving of one another. I have had the fortune of working with many fabulous ladies and am the better for it. So this was a hard group to narrow down to and I wasn’t able to include many so forgive me for what may seem incomplete. However, just as I write that, I feel like that actually feels better. For me to do a list, it almost has to be “incomplete,” in that it is ever evolving and blooming with the discovery of many a wondrous and hot chick. Cheers!

Rachel Maddow – Her genius and charm is constant. She studies. Worked hard and with the absolute best of them. I could listen to her for hours and I do.

Joan Rivers – A legend. Broke so many barriers and in my opinion, still doesn’t get the respect she so deserves. Love and admire her so much.

Sandra Bullock – In addition to being so talented, she is a tenacious producer extraordinaire. Wicked sense of humor.

Tina Fey – Made it all happen and is still as loyal as they come. Esp. love her and Amy Poehler together. Stays true and continues to push the bar for all.

Janet Jackson – Talk about fierce. Grew up with her and found ‘my sexy’ in her music. ‘That’s the Way Love Goes’ is still one of my all time favorites.

Kathryn Bigelow – Kicks ass in a old boy’s club that still has a long way to go in offering the same respect to women. Steadfast and passionate.

Madhuri Dixit – Bollywood legend that personifies grace and talent. And damn, can she dance.

Viola Davis – Perseveres. Her artistry has always been about the work being the most important. Need more Viola’s out there.

Katharine Hepburn – How she lived in her days…just listen to her speak. I dare you to not be inspired.

Gloria Steinem – Insert all encompassing adjective here. Meeting her has been a wish of mine from the 1st time I ever saw her speak.

Cate Blanchett – The kind of actress I would love to be. Melts into every character. Theater is a part of her soul.

Jane Fonda – “What would Jane do?”‘ I often say that to myself. Need I say more?

Mariska Hargitay – Mesmerizing. Can’t get enough of her. I have had many an SVU marathon.

Lynette Woodard – Wrote a letter to her when I was a kid. Was in awe of her on the court. She changed women’s basketball and I have been a fan for life.
