If you missed Lilith Fair — or the tour was forced to cancel a date in your city — rest easy:
my future wife Sarah McLachlan just announced a round of tour dates for next year that finds her up and down the East Coast and Canada.
The "Sarah and Friends" tour, which kicked off Nov. 1 in Dallas, finds the Lilith founder taking the stage in a more relaxed and intimate setting that includes taking questions from members of the audience.
Like the summer’s Lilith Fair — which featured acts like Tegan and Sara, Brandi Carlile, the Indigo Girls, Gossip, Heart, Sheryl Crow, Ingrid Michaelson and Sara Bareilles — McLachlan will share the stage with friends and band members Butterfly Boucher and Melissa McClelland who each will have a set of their own on the dates.
Highlights from McLachlan’s 2011 tour include stops in Washington, D.C., the Beacon Theatre in New York, Toronto and her hometown of Halifax, Nova Scotia. The tour kicks off Friday, Dec. 31 in Atlantic City, N.J., with a special New Year’s Eve show.
And for those of us on the West Coast (that sound you hear is me, tapping my foot, optimistically waiting for a second leg of the tour with stops in L.A.), don’t forget about
my other future wife Brandi Carlile‘s New Year’s Eve show at the Aladdin Theatre in Portland, Ore., that features a champagne toast at midnight, preshow acoustic performance in the neighboring Classic Pianos recital hall, meet and greet and signed souvenirs.
Who would you rather celebrate New Year’s Eve with?
