Here we go again. Donald Trump is threatening to sue Rosie O’Donnell for comments she made on The View on Wednesday. Rosie, who’s annoyed that Trump is giving Miss USA Tara Conner a second chance, questioned Trump’s finances (as well as his hair). Trump got just as personal:
“Rosie will rue the words she said. I’ll most likely sue her for making those false statements — and it’ll be fun. Rosie’s a loser. A real loser. I look forward to taking lots of money from my nice fat little Rosie.”
I can’t think of two less sympathetic characters. It’s like trying to care about Jenny and Max having a fight. (You can delete “having a fight” from that sentence without affecting the meaning in the slightest.)
Omarosa Manigault-Stallworth, who was fired during the first season of The Apprentice, said, “I got fired for ‘making excuses.’ I should have done worse — maybe I’d have gotten a second chance, too!” But she also pointed out that beauty pageant contestants are supposed to be role models:
“I’m shocked that, in the context of what she’s accused of, that he wouldn’t consider the impact of this. It’s hard enough these days to recruit girls, but if parents think that this is what pageants are all about — partying and boozing — then it will be even harder.”
Miss USA herself, on the other hand, apparently has had no trouble recruiting girls. Ahem.
