If Rosie O’Donnell’s New Year’s resolution was to stop being single, then consider the former talk show host ahead of schedule. Rosie stepped out in Miami with her new girlfriend, Tracy Kachtick-Anders, over the holidays. You know when a gal wears her hot-pink Crocs in public, it’s love.
Rosie met Tracy, a Texas-based artist and mother of six, through her blog and they’ve been dating since the fall. Tracy is an artist and LBGT adoptive rights activist who she founded the non-profit Open Arms Campaign, which helps recruit foster and adoptive families.
Rosie took to her SIRIUS XM radio show Monday to talk about her new relationship, which her publicist confirmed to People magazine last week. She called Tracy a “lovely, lovely, lovely person” and said dating her was “delicious. I love it all.” And in her Ask Ro blog, she said “Begin again in 2010. Life is good.”
Last October Rosie confirmed that she and partner of more than 12 years Kelli Carpenter were having relationship problems and then in November admitted Kelli had moved out two years ago. Last month Rosie lamented about how she was not enjoying single life.
On her Rosie Radio show, the 47-year-old comedian said she was shocked my the media and paparazzi attention her new romance her generated saying, “I felt like Madonna for a moment. Truthfully I’m not really that kind of famous where people follow me … I had no idea that it would be on CNN. Breaking news … It’s odd for me … and quite odd for Tracy .”
Congratulations Rosie and Tracy. Best wishes for a long and happy reign among the celesbian couple ranks.
