“I want to direct,” she told the mag. “I have a few scripts I’m working on, as well lots of advertising and endorsements.”
Patricia is well aware of how things work on sets, as she was the wardrobe stylist for Sex and the City and The Devil Wears Prada. I wonder what kind of film she’d like to do and if it would be fashion-focused. Then again, Tom Ford‘s A Single Man looked great but also had so much more going on.
Besides working on scripts, Patricia heads up her own boutique in New York while continuing to costume design for other productions and styling celebs. She recently said she’d love to dress Mrs. Obama.
“I think because she’s tall, she’s a classy woman, and I think she dresses fine. But I would still love to get my hands on her,” Patricia said. “I love the way she presents herself and part of the way she presents herself that I really like a lot is that it’s natural and easy and she’s not trying.”
What I’ve always loved about Patricia is she is fearless about being an out lesbian, and she has never had any problems proving how fabulous she is with fashion. If gay women get a bad rap for being unfashionable, they should just look at Pat to see how untrue that stereotype is. After all, a lesbian dressed some of the most famous fashionable TV characters of all time.
In keeping with her funky and gender non-conformist ways, Patricia recently styled androgynous male model Andrej Pejic in this ode to Marilyn Monroe. Pat said of the video, “It looks at Marilyn’s status as a sexual icon and explores the societal implications of the sex-kitten femme.” And she’s being played by a dude, which is not the typical casting for Marilyn.
Lastly, in this video, Patricia gives you some tips on how to refresh your wardrobe, because it’s fall and you need some updating.
