THIS WEEK IN QUEER WOMEN ON TV
Note: There are no spoilers about future episodes, just updates on what has already aired.
Show/Episode: Hospital Central — Spain, drama
What happened: Maca is tired of her and Esther living apart, so she arranges it so that when Esther comes home after work that day she will find everything boxed up and ready to move to Maca’s house (Maca wanted to save her the hard work of putting everything in boxes).
But Esther’s less than thrilled to arrive home and find everything in boxes. She’s angry and calls Maca a control freak, and says Esther never asked her if she wanted to move back in with her in the first place.

Show/Episode: Grey’s Anatomy — ABC, drama
What happened: Callie is still angry about her parents cutting her off financially because of her relationship with Arizona, and when the episode opens we find out she ruined dinner with Arizona the night before by acting grumpy and bailing on having sex (for the first time), and is working on her day off. When Arizona confronts her about why she’s making more time for her job than their relationship, Callie brushes her off (even when Arizona says the equivalent of “I’m hot, damnit!”) and later agrees with Arizona that “maybe it’s over.” When Mark tries to talk some sense into Callie she tells him to “suck it.” But Callie eventually admits to Arizona that she bailed on their dinner because she couldn’t afford it, and she’s working extra shifts because she needs the money. Arizona reassures her that she doesn’t care if they have to eat in, and they attend Izzie and Alex’s wedding together, where Callie kisses Arizona on the cheek during the ceremony. The two end up in bed together at the end of the episode, and are shown having post-sex pizza.
Show/Episode: Guiding Light — CBS, drama
What happened: Frank confronts Olivia about stealing Natalia from him, Natalia tries to convince him it’s not Olivia’s fault. The two women go away together for the weekend, where they share a room together and spend most of their time in bathrobes, but never actually kiss or even touch, partly because they keep getting interrupted by everyone under the sun, including Olivia’s daughter Emma, who shows up announced to stay with them. It’s an annoying plot contrivance, but the little girl is so cute it’s hard to stay mad at her. (The writers glacial storyline development and “no touching!” rule, on the other hand? Not so cute.)
What else you need to know: Crystal is rocking a great new hairstyle!
Show: Verbotene Liebe (Forbidden Love) — Germany, drama
What happened: Stella keeps hoping against hope that Charlie might be interested in pursuing a romantic relationship with her. Charlie finally sits Stella down and tells her that she is not in love with her and that that won’t change because she can’t imagine being in love with a woman. Both women have a rough day worrying that this might mean the end of their friendship. They meet for coffee and agree that they have come to mean too much to each other to let the friendship die.

Show/Episode: Los Hombres de Paco (Paco’s Men) — Spain, drama
What happened: Pepa gets rough with Aitor and shoves his face in a toilet after he insults Sara. After cooling off she sneaks up on Silvia in the parking structure of the police station and “arrests” her (and “frisks” her) on the charges of abandoning her. Things heat up between them until Curtis interrupts the scene. Pepa hears him coming and shoves Silvia down to hide her behind a car. Curtis asks Pepa if what she said in the ambulance was true (when she falsely told him she loved him because she thought he was dying). Pepa feels sorry for him and can only nod in agreement. Curtis kisses her and she lets him. When he leaves, Silvia asks Pepa WTF? and Pepa explains about the ambulance ride, and asks for two weeks to let Curtis heal before she breaks it to him that she’s not really in love with him. Silvia agrees.
What else you need to know: Watch this preview of next week’s episode — especially the last half.
