Miss Cleo was the first celebrity TV psychic many of us knew by name. The adopted Jamaican persona of Youree Harris became famous for her infomercials in the ’90s, and she came out as a lesbian in 2006. This morning, 53-year-old Miss Cleo died after a battle with cancer.
A pop culture icon, Miss Cleo went on to voice a character in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and released a spoken word album in 2007. Most recently, she hosted her own internet radio show and continued to give private readers. She was also part of a 2015 documentary called Hotline.
TMZ reports that Miss Cleo passed away surrounded by friends and family in Palm Beach County, Florida.
