As we told you yesterday, out singer-songwriter Sia recently collaborated with Eminem on the single, “Beautiful Pain,” which appears on his new album The Marshall Mathers LP 2. The album contains homophobic lyrics, and writer/DJ Keo Nozari questioned Sia on Twitter about working with an artist who would use such language. (You can read their thoughtful Twitter exchange here.)
Today, SheWired.com reported that Sia will donate a portion of the proceeds from her collaboration on the song with Eminem to the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center:
Sia’s donation to the Center will help support programs and facilities including a 50-bed shelter and transitional living program, medical care, meals, clothing, counseling, GED preparation program, job placement services, and much more.
