Wow i am so happy for Bridget & Karman. I was hoping that they were a couple.

8 is stupid. if it was a person, i would punch 8 in the face.

on a happier note...Congrats to Karman and Bridget!! now instead of being my individual awsum super lesbian role models, you two are now my awsum super duper lesbian couple role models!! (slightly creepy? i apologize)

I'm so happy for everyone highlighted here. My girl and I got 'married' in a protest in Melbourne, Australia. It was VERY informal (Tegan and Sara hoodies, we forgot to tell our parents, our friends threw Coco Pops and we went to Nando's for chicken burgers afterwards), but it was still really moving, we were crying as were all the other couples in the mass commitment ceremony.

I'm so so happy for everyone who got to do this, and make it legal. Contratulations, Karman and Bridget, that news made my day :)

I hope so badly you all get your rights back, and that the rest of us get them for the first time

I was watching the votes being counted, but feeling pretty distant from the US, and Prop 8, until people I know started coming online and saying they didn't know what was going to happen to their marriages. Putting faces to it personalised it enough to make me angry! It was a comment of Maile's that did it for me, I almost cried at work.

That's an awesome overview of happy couples...

Congratulations to Bridget and Karman, they are both awesome, amazing women (as far as I can tell) - all the best to them both. I'm just sorry that some people are so narrow-minded. Everyone should just worry about their own lives and accept love is love no matter who its between.

Congrats to Bridget and Karman! I mean, WOW!!! How did this not get out? I'm very happy for you two, and am now even more angry at California for passing Prop 8. If the ladies mentioned in this article don't deserve every happiness in the world, then I don't know who does.

Its such a shame that Prop 8 passed it's not fair and in this day and age its not right.  It actually made me glad I am English and am free to marry who I want and have it legally acknowleged.

I feel bad for all those gay couples who can't marry anymore and for those who did and now must face the fact, that their marriage may not be "valid". That sucks! Having rights taken away must feel so horrible.

It really sucks that Prop 8 passed and that we are not considered equal, would it be different if heterosexuals had their right to marry taken away from them?

its great to see so many got married in the few months that it was legal to get married and when i read that Bridget and Karman had got married i was like 'What? Seriously, is this a joke?' but yay for them, they are great together, i would never had guessed they were together, although i did hear rumours, again i say yay for them and congratulations.

Did anyone else have the feeling of utter joy about Bridget and Karmen? Everyone's two favorite people are married!! I literally almost fell over and Im on the floor already! Wow. I kinda feel like I have hope now.*tear*

i have so many emotions.  of course congratulations! esp to our ae celesbians bridget and karman!

but ugh at the same time.  how is this even possible.  just a few days ago i was so proud to be an american.  we finally chose the right person.  now thats it has really sunken in that prop 8 passed im back to being disgusted.  how is it possible that people can vote to take away our rights.  it makes no logical sense.  im really sad.  however i still have hope.  its called karma and i think us gays have it comin to us. at least i hope.

 It's such a joke that Prop 8 and all those other laws went through taking away our civil rights.  I really hope we as a community can fight this and make everyone see how crazy it is!
