The 5 Hottest Queer Suicide Girls

If you haven’t heard of SuicideGirls you’re about to get an ear and eyeful of what the alt-nude modeling mega-business is about. L.A. Weekly called it “A Nationwide Art Sleaze Phenomenon.” “We are the daughters of Bettie Page,” the SG website touts. “We’re a collection of over 2,500 pin-up girls who are devoted to changing your idea about what makes a woman beautiful…and we’re naked.” Very naked, and very real- from those photos of naked girls who don’t look like the surgically enhanced robots so often seen sans clothing, an entire community has sprung up online devoted to fans chatting and voting about who will become a Suicide Girl next.

I spoke to Missy Suicide, the co-founder of Suicide Girls, about queer members, models, and an upcoming Burlesque tour that promises to be titillating at the very least.

Missy Suicide isn’t just co-founder of Suicide Girls-she’s personally involved with an array of aspects within the company, and is in almost constant communication with the girls. “We have so many female fans in our community,” Missy chirps sweetly. “Gay, bi, straight, pan, or just queer, there’s a space for everyone within our community.”

I can verify that firsthand-when I was a baby gay fresh out of the closet, one of the first “gay” things I bought was a membership to SuicideGirls.com. Like Missy and the entire Suicide Girls community, I was bored and uninterested in most images of naked women floating around the web-they seemed unnatural, monotonous, and insincere.

There is no such thing as monotony for a Suicide Girl. “Our whole project is about women expressing their sexuality and embracing what makes them different. So when we do shoots, the models are in control of their own bodies,” Missy said. “They pick what makes them feel sexy, and we shoot it.” In particular interest to queer women might be the “friend” sets, where two or more Suicide Girls pose together sexily. Unlike mainstream softcore, where girl-on-girl is cold and clinically designed to get off dudes, the Suicide Girls who pose together are clearly enjoying themselves. That’s because they’re doing what they want to do.

“We started doing multi-girl sets because the girls wanted to model with their friends,” Missy said. “Every time we shoot one, it’s because the girls themselves asked to. It’s fun for them!” And it’s fun for us too. So, without further ado, here’s my picks for the five hottest (and most interesting) Suicide Girls who like girls.

Aldine

Aldine Suicide is a natural brunette stoner who warms my heart/shorts. She’s also a very student who studies psych/social work full time, works as an esthetician, and of course poses for SuicideGirls.com. “I would describe myself as an extremely open-minded pansexual and marijuana activist,” Aldine told me. “Being from rural Indiana, SuicideGirls has allowed me to connect, interact with, and be unconditionally accepted like-minded women from all over the world. I chose to be a SuicideGirl, because I feel they really embody the true essence of a woman’s sexuality.”

The petite and curvy intellectual/beauty is looking for a “tomboy femme” type who likes what she likes: “Polaroid pictures, blunts, accents, foreign films, holding hands, post secret books, pasta, autumn, mittens, nice eyebrows, space, paisley prints, pad Thai, Aveda, Mary Jane, girls, proper spelling and grammar, having a clean car, golden retrievers, and punctuality.”

Drave

The heavily-tattooed animal trainer/licensed piercer was happy to answer my questions about her experiences as a queer Suicide Girl. “Being a queer (I actually consider myself bisexual, just prefer women) on SuicideGirls has opened a door of endless opportunities for me to connect to not only other queer SuicideGirls but to thousand of members as well,” Drave said. “It has also given me the opportunity to meet and go to events with tons of sexy, strong, and confident women. In addition, many of the Suicidegirls play their part in attending gay pride events and openly supporting gay rights. This website holds a community of members and girls that are far from judgmental. There are bisexual/lesbian/gay groups on the website which allows you to easily make friends with others of your same sexual preference, and maybe find your next girl crush as well!”

Zoli

A long time Suicide Girl with dozens of sets, Zoli reps her pride loud and clear. The delicate 26-year-old is into “Making fun of myself, playing the drums, cooking, traveling, eating lots and lots of good food, meeting fun and interesting people, HOT pink, sex, make-up, fashion, BDSM, beautiful women, and much much more!”

A single girl, Zoli gets turned on by “Women who are ladies in the streets and freaks in the sheets!” So if you’re into wide eyes, dark hair, and a sly smile, you’d probably be into Zoli might the girl for you. Be warned: The girl doesn’t drink booze or smoke weed. However, with vices like “caffeine, cigarettes, and sex,” I can’t imagine she’d need them.

The 25-year-old Californian is a musician addicted to “M.I.A., Santigold, Ladytron, Peaches, Le Tigre, T.S.O.L., Misfits, Distillers, RX Bandits and Bob Marley.” She’s also happily wifed up.

When she’s not being professionally hot on camera, Blaze is an Aveda cosmetologist into “music, tattoos, being a bum, fun, positivity, hair, make-up, photography, pin-up, AVEDA. my friends, my family, learning, beer, hotbox,. my lady, body mods, laughing, the ocean, reggae on a sunny afternoon.”

Aisline

It’s pronounce “A’s Lynn,” and it’s a perfectly unique name to describe a perfectly striking girl. In particular, I just you check Aisline’s “friend” sets which are oh-so-friendly. A self-described “cheater,” Aisline is looking for a woman who pulls hair and loves a good movie.

It’s the little things that make her happy: “Warm weather, music, driving around aimlessly, late nights, early mornings”. It’s the big things that make her sad: “People with no morals, people with no common sense, people who can’t act in public, disrespect, greed, poverty and John Mayer.” Preach on the John Mayer bit.

If you’re still not sure what Suicide Girls is all about, check out their Tumblr. It’s a fabulous follow that I already paid tribute to in our list of Top 10 Lesbian Tumblrs. In addition to photography, Suicide Girls has branched out with books, comic books, movies, and most recently an upcoming Burlesque Tour that I will totally be attending. The line up hasn’t been announced yet, but Missy promised me “A burlesque show like no burlesque you’ve ever seen.” I can’t wait to see how the company’s signature aesthetic of alt meets pinup translates to a live show.

The Blackheart Burlesque Show will be touring around the U.S. in fall, and you can get tickets and tour dates at blackheartburlesque.com.
