Anne Hathaway wants everyone to know she’s no saint.
“You know, Lindsay [Lohan] and I have a lot more in common than people think,” she says in an interview with the UK’s The Sunday Times. “We’ve all done things we shouldn’t, it’s just I did stuff at college, when nobody knew about it, so I’m not a saint.”
Anne reveals that she’s danced on her share of tabletops but is “grounded” now. As in healthy. And I guess as in “on the ground,” too, if she’s off the tabletops.
She gives her boyfriend, Raffaello Follieri, all the credit:
“He’s brought out so many positive attributes,” she says. “Before I met him, I wasted so much time. I was just annoying and narcissistic and smelled bad.”
Wait. Smelled bad? Wow, that really is a helpful boyfriend! He’s described as a property developer, but perhaps he dabbles in perfume design on the side.
Anyway, it’s no surprise to us, Anne: We’ve been speculating about your wild side for some time now. You’re just going to invite that if you say things like this:
“I had to work through some s— in my personal life,” Hathaway explains. “I wasn’t ready to be a serious actress, with all that entails, because I still had a lot of questions about myself as a human being.”
Are you sure you’ve answered all those questions? ‘Cause, well, I know a couple of tabletops just begging to be tangoed on … you can even bring Lindsay along, if you must.
