Nip/TuckThey've been doing an encore presentation of the first season on FX lately. It's a pretty cool show, albeit a tad graphic. And in only one season they managed to include a lesbian anesthesiologist and two lesbian cheerleaders as recurring characters, not to mention a transexual. I'm looking forward to season two! Not sure if I'm excited about this...

Kinda behind...
but I watched the parts with Portia on youtube and oh.my.god. she's so incredibly HOT! There's a few scenes where she's wearing a shirt that bares her shoulder, it's soooo sexy. And one more thing, that long, thick, wavy blonde hair of her's...I just want to run my fingers through it! She gives me the shivers everytime I see her on TV
Damn, Ellen is the luckiest person on Earth.

the biggest question i have is how did matt and kimber become crackheads and when will everybody else find out
Bart: Mom, am I a butch or a femme?
Marge: [with hand lifted] Honey, you can be anything you want to be.
Nip/Tuck
I know this is 'old hat' but when will hollywood apply the same 'rules' to their male actors - anyone who had the misfortune to see episode 3 where Dr troy gets his kit off for a photoshoot will surely agree.......who wants/needs to see that much blubber?
And even more unlikely, that a gay men's magazine (which is where it ended up it seemed) would have his body as a pin-up, let alone a 12-page (or however many it was) spread!!
Nip/Tuck beyond my taste
Portia and Julia were
Portia and Julia were awesome. My oh my.. They looked awesome together. Hot! I am so looking forward to watching the relationship unfold!
BE THE REAL YOU. WEAR THE JEANS (GENES) THAT FIT!

did anyone see the season premiere of nip/tuck. i thought it was pretty good. will anyone else be watching

I must confess...
I love the sleaziness of Nip/Tuck. Christian is always a jerk, and always infuriates me, but that never changes. I have nothing but anticipation for the remainder of the season, as I'm already hooked. Portia de Rossi is so, so hot, and I'm interested in how the Olivia/Julia relationship will be handled.
So yeah, I'm hooked.
Couldn't agree more
Nip/Tuck
I'm surprised this show hasn't gotten more attention- it seems ripe for debate. Not only were there two lesbian characters and a bisexual character, there was also some (not what I would call "lesbian" or "bisexual", but still) girl-on-girl action with knockout Kelly Carlson.
There's a lot to make me cringe at the depictions and a lot to love. For one, I love how Liz's sexuality is treated so matter-of-factly. They don't have to do some big coming-out, she just happens to be a lesbian. Her partner is mentioned, she has a relationship with a transwoman which is not shown in graphic detail, it's interesting.
On the other hand, the lesbian and bisexual cheerleaders don't entirely work for me. I'm happy they're there, in a way, if only to give us a break from Christian's hetero-ickiness (that's not anti-hetero, it's anti-Christian's version of heterosexuality). But, the way that the whole thing is treated (Ridley "misses the trouser snake", etc) seems really strange.
One thing I really liked is that Matt is sad when he walks in on his girlfriend with another woman. On a lot of shows, he would be like, "Oh yeah! This is awesome!" but in reality, I don't think most men who think they're in exclusive, monogamous relationships feel good about being cheated on, no matter the gender of the person with whom their partner cheats.
I have also seen something which concerns me. It seems like the only time lesbian characters over the age of 18 appear on straight TV, they play these wise woman characters- it kind of reminds me of the wise black woman, wise homeless guy thing that crops up all the time. It's far better than their being demonized, but I like characters on TV to be more than the wise one (or wisecracking one). Probably it is only possible to do that on overtly "gay" shows right now if the producers, directors, and writers have any political conscience because they know it would come across as an indictment of all homo- and bi- sexual people. When you;re a minority, one part always represents the whole at first, until the minority is assimilated.
So, I guess Nip/Tuck is where the culture is: starting to see lesbians as people, but still stereotyping them. And that's pretty darn good compared to most TV which shows where culture was a decade ago: we were invisible.

oh, well the 3some is over..they
kicked Rhona Mitra out of their bed, Ouch!....poor
Rhona((are they nuts!)
It seems
Rhona was inspiring Kimber to show a little healthy backbone
but Christian was too threatened...yet
mistreated Kimber STILL is loyal to abusive Christian
over Rhona
(ahh, those straight women
and their conception of love)
Nip/Tuck
The weird thing is, I think Christian truly has feelings for Kimber regardless of their very complex and open relationship. But MAN is Rhona Mitra hot. I would have never ever kick her out of my bed ;) I don't care what the circumstances
Nip/Tuck
will anybody be doing recaps for this show?
Nip/Tuck
I saw a show lastnight (Friday). There was a foursome (2 men and 2 women) involved. After that guy rubbed on the other's behind, he wanted nothing to do with orgy. lol
Those 2 women were hot too.
Nip/Tuck
Can someone please fill me in on last night's episode? I missed it.
Nip/Tuck
Nip/Tuck is pretty much a straight man's fantasy where his woman can get it on with a another woman yet her heart still always belongs to him.
I felt uncomfortable watching Kimber doing girl-on-girl action in S1 just to satisfy Christian. S3 is different though because she is kinda fond of Kit. But ultimately we find out that she does it to make Chris happy (again!). Given the clause in their marital contract which does not rule out threesomes, I guess we might see some more gratuituous threesomes in the future seasons of Nip/Tuck.

Whoops, double post! :)

Yeah, I totally agree with this - and it was one of the good things about the way they portrayed Tim realising that Jenny was unfaithful on 'The L Word'.
I think a guy who was genuinely in love with the woman would be devastated - maybe even more so if he found she was with a woman (than with a man), because it might suggest that she really wanted something different than him, and that there just wasn't a way for him to win her back, like there would be if it was another guy.
'The O.C' has been bashed for its Alex/Marissa storyline... and there was certainly plenty wrong with it... but one thing I thought was maybe slightly less bad than usual was the way Seth was shown reacting to the news that Alex (whom he liked at the time) was bisexual. He was quite intimidated by it.... it made him feel even less confident with her, or confident that he could be what she wanted.... and although he subsequently went on to make loads of very, very annoying "ooh, that's hot" straight guy comments, I felt that in a way the show was suggesting that this came out of his insecurity. The only way he knew to make Alex's sexuality less threatening to him, was to fall back on the kind of straight guy comments that suggest girl/girl relationships are really all about men. So I thought this was making a subtle commentary about those kind of attitudes, in a way.
Though maybe I'm giving 'The O.C' too much credit :?
Nip/Tuck
I have yet to see The OC storyline (though I will rent it soon - I watch TV on DVD), but I like your analysis of it and think that it could be applied to a number of similar situations. Men who DO react like "ooh, hot" to their girlfriends cheating with women are perhaps trying to re-establish their power over the situation. Smarty Claudia.
Nip/Tuck
Ok please forgive me if someone mentioned this, but I am having such a hard time here....I have just started watching nip/tuck and in the first episode of season three, there was one hell of a hottie in bed with Julian M. Who is great looking...anyways, he is having a great time with her before and when his girlfriend walks in, and then she joins them...anyways, can anyone tell me the name of the drak haired girl cause I would like to see some pics and read a bio, PLEASE help, lol...thanks. Oh Ya...Nip/Tuck is HELLA GOOD
Nip/Tuck
The brunette reminds me of Kate Beckensdale (sp?). She is hot and I love the accent!
Nip/Tuck
She is Rhona Mitra from Boston Legal
Nip/Tuck
I knew I could count on you. I think when they show the scenes of her leaning in the bed, she looks a little like Holly Marie Combs, but then up close is a different story. Thanks so much.

i read the article for nip/tuck season three and this is bound to be the best season
