Rumours abound for Season 4! Word has it that Natasha Duprey, our beloved music supervisor these past 3 seasons, has quit the show. This would put Elizabeth Ziff now in charge of ALL the music used in the show. In another rumour we're told that Showtime is pulling the BETTY theme song because of copyright issues. If that is the case, look for a brand new theme song next season. Our inside source also tells us that KARINA LOMBARD will be coming back for 2 episodes! For spoiler info on KARINA as well as a titbit on Shane and a new character

I've picked up a few snippets from other sites and it seems that Bette may form a relationship with Marlee Mailtlins character called Jodie and that Jodie's on/off ex causes some trouble between them.

There was also a supposed quote from Jennifer Beals that Bette will be involved in an "ultimately triumphant love story" but the question is does it involve Tina or her new relationship?

They both made mistakes, but not only switching teams (who knew) Tina is also taking away Bette's daughter....soooo wrong.

Anyways one of the actors (actresses) from that show 'Sandrine Holt' will be on the L Word. It actually shows she was in it this past year...I must have missed it? Anyways...just thought I would share we would be seeing her in a couple more epis next year.

It's that time a year again. It's me Hollywood connection and as I stated in post#527 the first script is in. Written and will be directedby Ilene Chaiken. To sum it up everyone with the exception of Tina is back in LA The season 4 opener picks up 4 months later Shane is sulking because Carmen won't return her phone calls, and Carmen's family has forbade Shane to see Carmen. Helena has lost the studio so she is going on various job interviews, Bette hasn't seen Angelica since she returned her after Tina threatened to call the cops. You will see this in a flashback. Tina has return to Texas to visit her parents with Angelica in tow. Bette is angry at the world she curating an Artshow but she keeps getting pissed at the artists because it is not perfect. The artists get mad and call their mentor (Marlee M)who promises to put Bette Porter in her place. Two more new characters will be introduced Papi and Tasha. Papi hates Shane because some of the girls Papi used to mess with would brag about Shane to her. Tasha is in the army and is immediately smitten with Alice. Lara is in the first episode but she is moving to New York to become a full time chef for an upscale restaurant. Alice is still mourning the loss of Dana but Tasha and Papi catches her eye. Kit is now 4 months pregnant and Angus is having trouble getting a job to support his growing family Angus and Kit are having problems with money and if they are going to get married. Bette keeps trying to call Tina but Tina keeps hanging up on her. Her parents try to persuade her to go back to LA but Tina says there is nothing keeping her out there since she lost her job and she hates Bette. Her mother talks about how she remember she used to think Bette was the only one for her what changed her feelings now? Tina replies she wants what her parents have. Helena tries to get in touch with her mother but she is too busy jet setting across the world. Alice still has the radio gig as well as a freelance writer for LA magazine. Jenny is writing Max memoirs from Moira to Max and her girlfriend is condo searching for a condo in West Hollywood. Bette finally calls Tina's parents house and Tina answers the phone. You can believe or not. I really don't care. Just remember nobody wanted to believe me when I posted the stuff about Dana's death and Tina going back to men. Here's to another season of the L word.

It's great to see cybil is in the L Word. I'm looking forward to seeing what she will contribute. And it was fantastic to see the girls in action again - But I must say that I could do without the reference of having a new man in Cybil's life. It's like she has to "out" herself as being straight just because she's in the L Word. It' makes me a little narky. :?

Let's face it... for actresses of Shepherd's generation the role is "daring." And how many established straight actresses are willing to play gay? Not many. Up n coming actresses and starlets are more willing to go there to get a name, and then they move on.

I definitely see your point. For women of Shepard's generation, it may be a daring role or even a confronting thing to question their sexuality. But this is not a situation unique only to women of her generation. It can be a daring and confronting situation for anyone to face, at any age, depending on their environment and past experiences.

My only objection comes from that fact that it was made quite clear that even though Cybil Shepard has taken on this role, she felt that she had to make her own sexuality clear to the public. It almost seems like the actresses of the L Word need to either say they are straight or not say anything at all about their sexuality (with exception of Leisha Hailey) and I find that hypocritcal to the characters and lifestyles they portray in the show.

Ok, let me play devil's advocate... isn't being clear one way OR the other preferrable? If Cybil Shepard is straight and will not say one way or another, then that is the same as say... Kate Moenig NOT saying anything. What I mean to say is I think if Shepard were at least bi, I think she would say. And that is a good thing. It is better to be straight and say you are straight than to be bi or les and say NOTHING. At least it is honest.

Of course, the flip side of the argument is that it is no one's business and nobody should be obligated to say anything! LOL But then, like the title of this site says VISIBILITY MATTERS.

I just feel that that particular segment made a real point of saying, "hey guys don't worry, even though she's playing a character that is questioning her sexuality, cybil is still straight." The implication that derives from that is quite offensive not only to the show but to other women out there who are experiencing what cybil is going to be protraying.

So, back on to the topic, let me just say that I don't think Cybill was trying to exert her straightness in an overt manner. But I DO think the producers of Entertainment Tonight (or whatever it was) played it that way via editing. You know, so the straight phobic peeps don't freak out.

Let's face it, Cybill doesn't back down from much. I love her. She's been an inspiration since Moonlighting. And the woman is not afraid of her sexuality, that's for sure. I'm giddy to see what they do with her character.

Wow there seems to be a lot of drama on the set at the moment. Maybe if they put some of that into the show, it may become interesting next season.

I don't know if I like the whole "lets kill off Jenny" thing though. I have really enjoyed her character development in the last couple of seasons (even though she did annoy me in the first season). She's a very good actress and even though there maybe more "big names" in the next season, there's no substitute for a long running character.

Hey, I like Jenny ... because Marina likes Jenny. I even enjoyed the bad writer's madness last season, so I say keep her around.

However, I'm not opposed to offing Max for a coveted L-Word Cause. Come on. There has to be one sacrifice a season. These seem to be the L-Word official rules.

Bring back Kelly Lynch and have her go through the sex change procedure, if they want to continue on that path. She was a wonderful character, at least. The writers/director ruined Max. (I do not blame the actress, btw.)
