Druj is being very generous but is it really that hard for people to find episodes on their own? If one is too lazy to, one is not motivated enough i.e. doesn't care about watching the show that much.

I have a question.
How about linking to another place (where there are no torrents) where such information may be obtained. A place totally unaffiliated with AfterEllen, of course. I have a forum (located in Sweden, where bittorrent isn't illegal) which could serve this purpose.

Interesting question. Unfortunately, the issue is not with where it comes from, but the act itself. Because file sharing is illegal in the US (and AfterEllen is located in the US), anyone who shares information here or links to information about illegal downloading can get this site into legal trouble. It's a grey area at times, but we need to err on the side of caution, particularly since AfterEllen is such a high profile site that has, in the past, been monitored by people affiliated with "The L Word" (we've even been featured in a recent TLW promo, so you knowww they're watching us :P). They don't want to see us promoting or giving the impression that we condone illegal file sharing (and I don't blame them).

So rather than dancing around it on a case-by-case issue, the rule is simply "absolutely no links or discussions of where to obtain TLW episodes illegally." This includes direct mention of file sharing sites (names of torrents, etc.) as well as links like you mentioned, that would send you elsewhere to get information about illegal downloading.
