Nicki Minaj- Roman's Revenge

Ok, I'm not sure if Nicki belongs in this section because she may or may not be bisexual.

 

But here's the thing, how many of you have heard Roman's Revenge off of her Pink Friday album?

 

I downloaded it for my sister and I listened to the whole album. Not bad for a freshmen album but I often find her lyrics to basic and overly simplistic. Then again there are time when when simple gets the job done. 

 

I don't necessarily love her or hate her, I guess it depends on the mood I'm in. Anyway getting back to the song, Roman's Revenge which featured Eminem (I actually fast foward through his part b/c I find it so abrasive). I actually like Eminem when he's not busy indulging his own psychosis. He's actually a very talented lyricist unfortunately he clearly has a lot of rage. However this is not a comment on his homophobia or why Nicki featured him on this song.

 

When you focus strictly on Nicki's lyrics, her second verse kills it in a very simple monosyllabic way. Her verses however is what intrigues me. Obviously the song is a battle rape, basically about beef she she may have with other female rappers (i.e. little kim-really you can thank my sister for me knowing this because I could care less). However there is one line in which she says:

 

Hang it up, flatscreen 

 

Focusing on a play on words, it would just as easily fit if she meant "hasbian". Anyway what do you all think? Have you heard the song?

 

It would be tongue-n-cheek is she actually meant it that way. She has many female fans that go crazy for her. If she has women throwing themselves at her why would she be a "hasbian"?  Just thought it was interesting although it's not that deep.
