Russian
Лесбиянка*
Danish
"Lesbiske uden grænser"
æ is pronouced somehow like ä
longstocking - I love Russian :p
French
Spanish
Lesbian without barriers = lesbiana sin fronteras
[less bja na] stress on 'bia'
[sin] pronounced like english "sin"
[fron te ras] "e" like in english "test". Stress on 'te'
Finnish
"Lesbo ilman rajoja."
Pronounced sort of like this:
Lesspo i'llman rayoya.
The Finnish r is rolled, and the vowels are pronounced very much like Spanish ones in most cases, though Finnish vowels are longer that in English or Spanish most of the time. The consonants are sharper and more defined, and j is like y.
The s has no z sound at all, it is very much an sssss sound, without any hiss.
Sorry, I a not a pronounciation dictionary, but hope it works for you.
Mandarin Chinese
"拉子無疆界"
Pronunciation(the numbers represent the tones)
拉子: la1 zi3 (it's actually more like a colloquial form or slang of lesbian in Mandarin)
無: wu2 (without)
疆界: jiang1 jie4 (border)
If you don't understand Mandarin pinyin, try this, "laji woo jangjay" (in English.)
Brasilian Portuguese
"Lésbicas Sem Beiras"
Literally "Lesbians Without Edges," but it conveys the same meaning in the proper context. I can't for the life of me remember "Border" at the moment.
Also, I'm horribly jealous of any Danish, Russian, or Finnish speakers here. Especially Danish.
Tear.
[
I turn angry when I'm big and green.]Borders = Barreiras / Fronteiras
The word you are looking for is Barreiras, in this case. Border of a Country for instance is Fronteira though, but I dont think it is applicable in this context ;-)
"You and I wear the dangerous looseness of doom and find it becoming. Life, for eternal us, is now and now is much to busy being a little more than everything to seem anything, catastrophic included.."
Whoops.
"Lésbicas Sem Barreiras," then.
Thank you muchly.

hey mara I'm curious, is Lesbisch the noun used for lesbian in dutch? cause in german it's: Lesbe (noun) = lesbian
lesbisch (adjective) = gay/lesbian
or maybe you just mixed it up? ;)
Good point :)
Sandra, it can be both a noun and an adjective - depending on context. The other noun is "lesbienne", but I think lesbisch is used more in everyday speech.

good, I was just curious
Lesbienne
Yes... I would have said:
'Lesbienne zonder grenzen', but I guess that means 'a' lesbian without borders. It all depends what you want the title to mean...
'Lesbisch zonder grenzen' would mean something like 'being' lesbian without borders.
yeah that's what I thought
yeah that's what I thought the title was supposed to mean....(a) lesbian without borders...so is that what you meant sally? or did you mean '(being) lesbian/gay without borders'? :)
I prefer the dutch word lesbienne over the german lesbe lol, I'm not sure why but I don't like the german word for lesbian
Yes, I meant "a" lesbian

lesbian without borders
In gerigonza...
It's not actually a language, it's like pig latin in spanish. You separate each word into syllables and if the syllable ends with a vowel you add the letter p and the vowel to the end of the syllable. For example in mama the word would be mapamapa. If the word ends with a consonant you find the last vowel add the p and the vowel and finish with the consonant, for example "mar" is sea in spanish, so the gerigonza word would be mapar.
Ok pretty confusing but i thought it would be funny, so here it goes
lesbiana sin fronteras (in spanish)
lepesbiananapa sipin froponteperapas (in gerigonza)
Gracias!
lesbiana sin fronteras
Orale
Lesbianas sin fronteras....o tambien lesbianas sin barreras...eso eh

Arabic
Lesbians Bla Hdood :P (i'm terrible at arabic..but anyway...)
شاذات بلا حدود
Thank you so much!!
lesbian without borders
yay!
Also in Arabic
I think Sketcher Sohaqeeyat is the right word of Lesbians, since شاذات = gay, so i would say Lesbian without bolders = (Sohaqeeyat bla hadood) سحاقيات بلا حدود
indeed, i was checking only if there was any one write in my language, so i cross your reply so i thought i should correct it, if you agree with me :)
