Gay/Lesbian taste in music?

I posted this because I was wondering if anyone can commiserate with me on this... I've been told by many people that my taste in music is very "gay," but they usually mean that I have the same musical tastes as a stereotypical gay man. If you look through my iPod, you will find hundreds of songs by Kylie Minogue, Lady Gaga, Madonna, and other artists that gay boys love, but only a handful of songs by lesbian favorites such as KD Lang, Melissa Etheridge, Sarah McLachlan, etc. Basically, I would choose a thumping bass line over an acoustic guitar any day. Am I the odd one out, or does anybody else out there in AE-world share their iPod with their gay boyfriend?
