I'd like to see Bette settle down with Jodi. Actually, I'd like to see SOMEONE settle down with SOMEONE! You know? It's like, with the exception of what Bette and Tina had, no one's been able to keep a relationship going. I kinda wanna see that happen, because not all lesbians go from lover to lover. I'd like to see a little consistency.
I wouldn't mind seeing more development of the characters, new and old. And I'd like to see Max's transistion continue. I think it's a great story line.

Its probably all been mentioned before...but I'd love to see Carmen back. Sharmen was brilliant, and as much as I do like Paige and Shane, I prefer Carmen.
Also, I know its never going to happen but I'd love to see Dana back. I loved the Dana and Alice relationship until that stupid red-head got in the way. They were such a cute couple. Loved Dana being a clutz and Alice's sarcastic comments and there was just such chemistry between them. Oh, I don't really like Tasha but thats because of Dana and the fact that I don't want to accept her death.
I'd love to see Jenny gone! Seriously, I watch the episodes online cause Ireland is miles behind and I always fast forward her parts in the recent series cause she's so annoying!!
Oh Tina and Bette back together. Jodi is cool. But Tibette all the way! They are meant to be and as others mentioned it would be great to see a permenant relationship.

I want SOMEONE to be in happy, healthy, lasting relationship! I don't mind seeing Paige go, but I do NOT want to lose Tasha or Jodi. I think they are both such fantastic additions to the show. And GORGEOUS.
And I would like to see Max be a real well-rounded character rather than just going through a series of textbook trans experiences.
Dana be back on the show... she'll still be having the Breast CA but she'll be alive and kicking... doing quite good... going to full remission and finally hooking up with alice to give one more shoot at their relationship. Carmen back also finally finding the reason to forgive shane... not after making it real hard for her. Jenny finally as in finally getting all the demons out of her crazy mind and really finding the right person for her. Hey, this season 5 might be the last lets make it at least end on a high note and a HAPPY ONE at that. But ofcourse stil and will continue to keep my fingers cross that i won't be seeing the last of this wonderful series.
Here are a few storylines that IC can sample freely, if she sends me some autographed Sarah Shahi, Jennifer Beals and/or Marlee Matlin photos...or she can give me a job as a writer on the show...whatever works.
First, I'd get rid of that damn theme song...it's the first step towards making the show completely Betty free.
After a few months in Iraq, Tasha's convoy gets hit by a roadside bomb. With broken limbs and a minor head wound, Tasha is sent back to the States (after a stint in Germany) to recover and rehabilitate, with Papi supporting her along the way. While recovering, she's adamant about returning to her unit in Iraq.
Tasha's injuries have Alice all kinds of freaked out and she eventually gives up on the relationship. But then, the ghost of Dana appears and after lots and lots of hilarity (as only Dana and Alice can produce), Alice and Tasha reunite.
Her dalliance with Kit and Tasha's injuries have convinced Papi to hang up her player persona and look for a real relationship. While at a house party in East LA, she's introduced to this smokin' hot DJ, Carmen, who just got signed to work with Def Jam. They meet, sparks fly and they start seeing each other.
Having discovered the meaning of happiness, Shane tries to reconnect with Carmen and her family. Carmen rejects her, telling her that she's dating a girl from around the way named Eva Torres. Shane vows to fight for Carmen's affections, using Max to take down Eva Torres on the chart...it turns out Eva Torres is Papi's real name and fighting and competition seriously ensues between Carmen's would-be suitors.
Thanks to her malicious stories, most of Jenny's friends have abandoned her. Jenny starts seeing a shrink....and begins to make amends for all the hurt and pain that she's caused her friends.
Max is still transitioning and working full-time with Alice and Grace to build Ourchart. Miraculously, though, Daniela Sea has been replaced by someone who can actually act.
Jodi and Bette are still together, but they're doing the long distance thing, which Jodi's finishing up a project in New York. Bette contemplates leaving the university to work for an up-and-coming museum in the City, which forces an argument with Tina over Angelica. Seeing that Bette's really serious about moving, Tina steps up her attempts to seduce Bette.
Kit dumps Angus, permanently.
Helena's got her money back from her mother, after having learned a harsh lesson via Catherine about trust. Being burned leaves Helena noticeably more timid and detached when a new girl expresses interest.
Is for Jenny to have a freaking stable relationship. It's like can she get a girlfriend on the show being that she is the hottest woman on it. I'm so sick and tired of her being all lonely on the show and no one understanding where she's coming from. I mean in the beginning of the fourth season she was getting her act together and then I kind of feel that the writers just forgot about her in the end. And I would like to see Jodi and Tasha come back for the 5th season. Their characters really bring out what both Alice and Bette need in their lives and to take them off when things are finally getting good between them is just so freaking stupid. I really don't care for Paige on the show, for me she just doesn't seem to click with Shane. It seems unrealistic that those two would ever get together besides having a one night stand. I really hate those two together bring back Carmen or let Shane go back to her old ways if this is what we are going to get from it. I want too also see Helena get back on her feet because this Helena has got to go. It's like she lost her mind when she lost her money, it's pathetic. I want to see Kit get back to the strong woman that wasn't drinking and drugging and losing her damn mind. I just wish the 5TH SEASON would be way better than the 4th because I really didn't care for this season only besides a few scences that were in selected episodes.
me again have some new wish for the core characters of the show... lets start ofcourse with my ALL TIME FAVE...
1. ALICE: Firstly A BETTER ATTIRE FOR HER... WHERE DID HER EDGY STYLE GOES??? SHE LOOKS OLD WITH THAT OUTFITS... THE HAIR STYLE AS WELL... The Alice look of season 1 and 2 please. I would really like to see her in a really stable, happy relationship. someone who would really fight for her. A LOVE TRAINGLE would be a nice idea. I would really love to see Erin back she'll be having a whole new character and not as DANA coz it will be a cheap shot to the show which is suffering from bad writing already. Don't mind having Tasha back ( with pecola's idea ) she's injuried in iraq, severly traumatize and being in rehab having Erin's new character as her therapist... thus paving the way for alice to meet her. Erin finds Alice very attractive and would like to know her futher... Alice will give her a hard time at first coz she'll be reminded of her best friend but she'll soon finds herself slowly being attracted to her as well but as tasha slowly recovers from the injuries she got she realized how important having someone in your life and would be considering settling down with Alice but now she has to fight for her coz Alice is slowly falling for Erin or a TASHA-ALICE-HELENA LOVE TRIANGLE would be NICE too. Their chemistry is quite GOOD AS WELL. But if there's a possibility of Erin being back i would prefer it that way... sorry guys, SOLID ERIN/LEISHA HERE.
2. SHANE: Bring Carmen back... there's really no spark between her and paige sorry it just doesn't seem to work. it was really different when shane and carmen first met in season 2... you can see that they click right away. I want her to resolve the hanging issue she had with carmen in S3... doing all the unthinkable things that we thought shane would not do... she wore a dress for her before... well there could be some problem with the trust issue but as they say everything can be worked out specially if you still both LOVE EACH OTHER.
3. BETTE/ TINA: Their relationship has been played out all throughout s1-3. Its better for Bette to find someone that won't just follow her... someone on the same level as she does. As for Tina... no returning to men... though i don't want her hooking it up with helena coz i wanna see helena with alice if there's really no possibility for Erin to be back. I'm not sure but how about a Tasha-Tina hook up after all Tina's been working in some sort of social support thing with Oscar she would be great with Tasha after all the trauma she suffered from the wars she's been too.
3. KIT: didn't like the angus relationship at all... even with that guy in S2... go back to IVAN. IVAN would be helping Kit back to her feet again and eventually have that relationship she's longing for.
4. JENNY: oh poor jenny what will be my utmost wish for you... I really like her with Marina and even with robin. perhaps the two will show up again in her life and finally she'll be with the person she really loves. sorry just really can't think much more with her character but i really would like to see a lighter side of her no more creepy flashbacks... i do like her short her in season 2 as well.
5. HELENA: the helena in season 3 i like... not so bitchy but still with the perfect grace and english accent. again will be hooking up with ALICE if erin can't be back. Ok, second choice would be her back with dylan. She would be rich again but this time knowing the value of money... she would be a smarter person this time out.
6. MAX: Kinda like what she said to Dana when they watch the BBALL GAME... a better actor to play... daniela is just so dry of an actor... it kills the good ones there.
Well i guess thats about it... i just really want to see the old relationship of friends that the show has during their 1st 3 season. it was lost this season... its sad coz at the end of the day we all konw that we can find solace in our friends... though we want to see our favorite characters have different relationship we also want to see that inspite of our busy life we don't forget to spend time with our friends. the show was able to have that before please have it back.
In a nutshell, i would like to see proper character development over a few episodes, rather than making the new characters do everything in under 20 minutes.
Specifically, i'd like:
- Paige and Shane to settle down (i'm sure someone could persuade Kristina Loken to come back to the show?!)
- Jenny to fall in love (so at least she would have a reason to go a little crazy)
- Helena and Bette to get it on; then Bette and Tina get back together and Helena gets it on with Marina
- more scenes at The Planet with live bands
- The Planet to get a great review in a national magazine, so Kit gets recognised for her hard work
Lastly, but maybe should have been firstly, change the theme tune and do not just paste in the new characters, it looks tacky!
i quite like this season, of course it's nowhere near season 1. they're like a music band, first album rocks, but is followed by mediocre ones, so i'm left wondering if they will ever do the great come-back.
anyway, the season is kind of disjointed, the storylines seem to be going nowhere, e.g. Shane-Paige, and it's not like i have enjoyed the ride either. Max's storyline could have been more interesting, now i can hardly bother. oh, and the sex scene was baaaaad! i did like his girlfriend's underwear though! ;)
Shane-Carmen would have been good, if they explored Shane's possible "struggle" to settle down with her. i 'm wondering if the writers would think of bringing Ms Shahi back, but i wouldn't hold my breath.
Alice-Tasha: lovely couple, i bet TPTB will bring them down with a bang. and Dana in the last episode preview! ahh, i miss Alice-Dana. generally, i miss having Dana around. with Alice, without Alice, with the "soup chef", without the "soup chef", with a Subaru, without a Subaru...
Jenny... hmm... i wish she had a good lover, a steady relationship. hopefully this will happen in season 5.

Tina: wow! she saw the light, thanks to the GROSS scene in ep. 11. well, not that she didn't know before where the relationship with Henry was going, but that was the turning point. and i bet the eggs were off and smelled bad too.
Tina-Bette: great together. once chemistry, always chemistry. but they're like oil and water now, so Ms Chaiken please, get Tina a hot woman in the next season, and either hook up Bette with Jodi, or hook up Bette with someone HOT and leave us alone.
no wait, if you won't leave us alone, can we have more gatherings at the Planet, or scenes where people bond/enjoy themselves as friends do - e.g. Alice-Shane messing up with the billboard. loved that!

I think that's when Shane and Papi/Eva Torres are going to have a real competition, fighting over Carmen in season 5. Paige only got 1 episode (in the interview she said she will only appear in episode 1) in the upcoming season. It's time for Shane to woo back Carmen and heat up the show again.
I've checked out imdb.com and it looks like most of Sarah Shahi's dramas/films are either completed or in post production. Since TLW is going to start filming in June, Sarah could be back on the show!

What would I like to see in the next season? Well, for starters, in real life, the Senate is coming up with a bill for a pullout from Iraq by next year. If it passes, that means soldiers can start coming home for good. Keep your fingers crossed, kiddies. If all of us pray that the bill goes through, then Tasha WILL be back. Intact. That said, here's a list of what I think could happen next season:
If Shane and Paige break up, then a believable explanation i.e. Paige's ex-husband/boyfriend showing up (can you say powder keg) is in order. Of course if Carmen resurfaces, all bets are off.
More of Phyllis and Joyce. They are so cute together. There should be lots of vacations, house parties (for the whole gang to show up with hilarious results) Looks like the guest house is gonna be occupied again. Really, that's a sweet-looking pad.
Jenny, Jenny Jenny. WHAT are we going to do with you? One minute I want to hug you the next I wanna smack you silly. She needs to get her drek together, provided she washes ashore sometime soon. Maybe another trip to the funny farm is in order and once she comes home Shane can play nurse (please refer to no. 1).
Alice not to freak out like she did in the beginning of Season 3. And of course Tasha to come back, for good. Hopefully, she won't be injured, but I'm dreading even more post-traumatic stress. Papi's growing on me, so she could be around to get back in play once she's done sniffing after Kit (one word: yikes!). My God, it's a Morrissey song waiting to happen. Oh and I would like for Alice to do her show live from the Planet.
Curious as to what happens to Helena. While Catherine deserved to be robbed blind, grand larceny is a felony. I hope Helena hides for a while, doesn't end up in the clink or Catherine magically switches places with Jenny...
Might as well get used to seeing Kate around even though she looks EXACTLY like Claire Stansfield. At least she doesn't have that deep scratchy voice *shudder*
I don't care what anyone thinks, I happen to like Max. Yeah the acting sucks, but if he's supposed to come across as a geek then it works. and I can actually understand his cyberbabble. Gotta lose the soul patch, though, it looks like a Dirty Sanchez remnant.
Last, but not least, the inevitable Tina-Bette-Jodi triangle. Jodi is a great lady, but she and Bette are too much alike and when they argue, it's like the Clash of the Titans Part Deaux. It's fun for the first thirty seconds before it becomes a painful to watch. On the other hand, Jodi is a lot more perceptive than people give her credit for. She may "miss things" at times, but she can read body language and catch the meaning behind the active communication. Assuming Jodi's going to be in New York for a for a while (they might ask her to do another sculpture), there could be some highly charged tension between Bette and Tina. There's a definite change in the relationship in which Bette is more willing to listen to what Tina has to say, and the conversations have gotten more honest and heartfelt. It all depends on how long Tina can hold out before the tension eventually snaps. That, and Bette is now torn between two women and may be forced to choose. Hopefully, she'll come to her senses and come back to Tina. If that happens, then I'd like to see a wedding that turns into a comedy of errors complete with slapstick antics and woe to the soul who loses the ring...

More unique storylines. The end of S4 really had me thinking that Max was uh...going to do himself in. :( He just had that horrible look in his eyes. If they are going to portay his character, I agree with avoiding the usual trans text-book storylines. I think this is where LW can gain more depth.
Unlikely hookups. Surprise me.
Tension - and leave me hanging for a couple eps or something. And if there's tension, make it between Alpha-Bette and anyone.
Tie up some loose ends. Lara? I think I missed those two lines in the first eps that wrapped that bidness up. I think LW can be better at closing storylines.
More kissin'. Yeah, that's right. I've got a good 30+ years of watching hets on TV go at it. So, more please.
Guest stars. Bring them on but don't make a big deal of it and don't wrap the storyline around them.
I'm going to jump on board with Trent's ideas, if the next season turned out that way, I will be more than pleased. Hopefully then there will be a Season 6, as well.
Kate and that writer lady made me like Jenny for a split second, ugh that says so much. Even though I don't like her character, she's great on the show, I like to have an central place to channel my disdain. Shane-Carmen-Papi, would be so funny and entertaining, as would the aforementioned slapstick involving 3 or more of them trying to accomplish anything. (like the Lara & 17 Sign, missions). Oh, Kroll and Joyce were adorable, I want to try some of those garden tours (in about 10 years after I'm long established and my home is paid off).

i've always been wanting for them to introduce a new FUN character...a funny one, and i've always wanted (since season 3) for them to get someone a little younger, you know, fresh outa highschool, but mature enough to hang out with the crew...but bringing some fun highlights to the show...and it would be nice to have a character that us youngins could relate to. Maybe a cute little skater girl that shows up at shane's hair place and sweeps someone off her feet with her cute tomboyish charm...i'm still waiting damnit!
and i actually really liked the spirit of dana scene in the finale...i wouldn't be mad if they brought that back again...and it'd be rad to see helena hook up with someone FUN and not so snobby.........

I want Dylan to come back with a follow-up storyline. Oh, and I want Helena to ditch that absolute whore once and for all. I won't post what i'd like to happen next season, because each time i've been disappointed, instead i'm bracing myself for what will likely happen.
So, these are my predictions about season 5....
1. Shane will have an even more annoying hair style than last season.
2. Papi will remain, therefore simultaneously stimulating thousands of rolling eyes as she cliches the player ego-centric lingo and dodgy accent.
3. Max will *still* be reappearing. Who needs acting talent on a tv show anyway? That would be ridiculous, such as asking why kill Dana off, because we could list a million great reasons for that?
4. We'll be lured into the absurd thought of a sustained, happy relationship for Bette and Jodie, then BAMM! One gets cancer, one turns hetero, you know, the usual....
5. Betty will *still* be causing us to mute half the episode.
6. Alice and Tasha will have this back-and-forth struggle with their relationship all being defined in the finale episode.
7. Shane will ditch the soccer mum facade as soon as she sees dinosaur-shaped-food in the fridge.
8. Helena will some how become rich again, after she's been stitched up by Catherine, who screams untrustworthy as much as sleazy.
9. Tina will suddenly 'be gay again', she'll thinly veil sexual innuendos in Bette's direction, who will be highly flattered - tallying them up, and then they'll kiss. Shown in the preview before the finale.
10. Angelica will still be adorable.
11. Angus will linger about for a bit being all whiney and 'tortured guitar player who can only string one note'. Kit will scarily enough find this attractive, but then Papis probably replused her to think that even craggy 'musicians' are attractive.
12. Paige will disappear after episode one, but probably return much later for a guest episode to get the forums buzzing again.
13. Jenny will still be trapped between selfabsorption and borderline - mildly funny- personality disorder.
14. Alice will still be the funniest character.
15. Jodie will be character assassinated, all by accident as usual.
16. Something will happen in Iraq with Tasha that just oozes DRAMA and REVELATIONS, you know, exactly how they display words over the first previews of the season....
17. Kit will wage on being an alcoholic, maybe she'll get a drug habit too, doom and gloom is only inevitable on this show.
18. Everyone will still be glued to this show, despite annoyances or a really bad season.
19. The L word will try again to talk politics, perhaps include a live performance of 'dear mr. president' to really achieve irrelevance in a tv show based more on lipgloss than say the stock market.
20. It will promise to be 'better than ever', cue all the cast nodding heads in agreement.
21. Something will happen that will please us. Something will happen which will piss us off. The difference in the middle will determine how well the season pans out.
You nailed that Eva Torres thing! Astute! I think what we really need are more group scenes. They've been lacking in the past few seasons, and they were one of the best things about Season One (in my opinion, the best season so far).

I think that's when Shane and Papi/Eva Torres are going to have a real competition, fighting over Carmen in season 5. Paige only got 1 episode (in the interview she said she will only appear in episode 1) in the upcoming season. It's time for Shane to woo back Carmen and heat up the show again.
I've checked out imdb.com and it looks like most of Sarah Shahi's dramas/films are either completed or in post production. Since TLW is going to start filming in June, Sarah could be back on the show!

Helena & dylan - I'd love to see Dylan return, there was really good chemistry between AH & RS. I think a lot of people would like to see that story played out.

Shane and Carmen... Paige is just too annoying for me. How horny can she be? "My kid is in the next room... lets still do it in the open Shane... cause I need sex, Sex, SEX!" Uh, gross.
Tasha and Alice - since this isn't a soap opera and we can't bring Diana back from the dead for Alice.

Bette and Jodi... The lady taught the kid to sign. You girls can hate all you want. But she is changing to be what Bette wants (which is loyalty). My gf is going for Tina and Bette, and I'm sure it will end up with them being their big happy family, but the show KILLED that couple for me. They were the only ones that stuck together and since season 1 they've been off and on. That's not the ideal couple for me. At least Bette and Jodi is fresh.

To see Tasha back. And Paige. I've heard Kristanna Loken won't be returning for Season 5 - due to the bitchiness that goes on behind the scenes.
I'd like to see Bette settle down with Jodi. Actually, I'd like to see SOMEONE settle down with SOMEONE! You know? It's like, with the exception of what Bette and Tina had, no one's been able to keep a relationship going. I kinda wanna see that happen, because not all lesbians go from lover to lover. I'd like to see a little consistency.
I wouldn't mind seeing more development of the characters, new and old. And I'd like to see Max's transistion continue. I think it's a great story line.

Its probably all been mentioned before...but I'd love to see Carmen back. Sharmen was brilliant, and as much as I do like Paige and Shane, I prefer Carmen.
Also, I know its never going to happen but I'd love to see Dana back. I loved the Dana and Alice relationship until that stupid red-head got in the way. They were such a cute couple. Loved Dana being a clutz and Alice's sarcastic comments and there was just such chemistry between them. Oh, I don't really like Tasha but thats because of Dana and the fact that I don't want to accept her death.
I'd love to see Jenny gone! Seriously, I watch the episodes online cause Ireland is miles behind and I always fast forward her parts in the recent series cause she's so annoying!!

WHAT I'D REALLY LIKE
Hmm...
Here are a few storylines that IC can sample freely, if she sends me some autographed Sarah Shahi, Jennifer Beals and/or Marlee Matlin photos...or she can give me a job as a writer on the show...whatever works.
First, I'd get rid of that damn theme song...it's the first step towards making the show completely Betty free.
After a few months in Iraq, Tasha's convoy gets hit by a roadside bomb. With broken limbs and a minor head wound, Tasha is sent back to the States (after a stint in Germany) to recover and rehabilitate, with Papi supporting her along the way. While recovering, she's adamant about returning to her unit in Iraq.
Tasha's injuries have Alice all kinds of freaked out and she eventually gives up on the relationship. But then, the ghost of Dana appears and after lots and lots of hilarity (as only Dana and Alice can produce), Alice and Tasha reunite.
Her dalliance with Kit and Tasha's injuries have convinced Papi to hang up her player persona and look for a real relationship. While at a house party in East LA, she's introduced to this smokin' hot DJ, Carmen, who just got signed to work with Def Jam. They meet, sparks fly and they start seeing each other.
Having discovered the meaning of happiness, Shane tries to reconnect with Carmen and her family. Carmen rejects her, telling her that she's dating a girl from around the way named Eva Torres. Shane vows to fight for Carmen's affections, using Max to take down Eva Torres on the chart...it turns out Eva Torres is Papi's real name and fighting and competition seriously ensues between Carmen's would-be suitors.
Thanks to her malicious stories, most of Jenny's friends have abandoned her. Jenny starts seeing a shrink....and begins to make amends for all the hurt and pain that she's caused her friends.
Max is still transitioning and working full-time with Alice and Grace to build Ourchart. Miraculously, though, Daniela Sea has been replaced by someone who can actually act.
Jodi and Bette are still together, but they're doing the long distance thing, which Jodi's finishing up a project in New York. Bette contemplates leaving the university to work for an up-and-coming museum in the City, which forces an argument with Tina over Angelica. Seeing that Bette's really serious about moving, Tina steps up her attempts to seduce Bette.
Kit dumps Angus, permanently.
Helena's got her money back from her mother, after having learned a harsh lesson via Catherine about trust. Being burned leaves Helena noticeably more timid and detached when a new girl expresses interest.

me again have some new wish for the core characters of the show... lets start ofcourse with my ALL TIME FAVE...
1. ALICE: Firstly A BETTER ATTIRE FOR HER... WHERE DID HER EDGY STYLE GOES??? SHE LOOKS OLD WITH THAT OUTFITS... THE HAIR STYLE AS WELL... The Alice look of season 1 and 2 please. I would really like to see her in a really stable, happy relationship. someone who would really fight for her. A LOVE TRAINGLE would be a nice idea. I would really love to see Erin back she'll be having a whole new character and not as DANA coz it will be a cheap shot to the show which is suffering from bad writing already. Don't mind having Tasha back ( with pecola's idea ) she's injuried in iraq, severly traumatize and being in rehab having Erin's new character as her therapist... thus paving the way for alice to meet her. Erin finds Alice very attractive and would like to know her futher... Alice will give her a hard time at first coz she'll be reminded of her best friend but she'll soon finds herself slowly being attracted to her as well but as tasha slowly recovers from the injuries she got she realized how important having someone in your life and would be considering settling down with Alice but now she has to fight for her coz Alice is slowly falling for Erin or a TASHA-ALICE-HELENA LOVE TRIANGLE would be NICE too. Their chemistry is quite GOOD AS WELL. But if there's a possibility of Erin being back i would prefer it that way... sorry guys, SOLID ERIN/LEISHA HERE.
2. SHANE: Bring Carmen back... there's really no spark between her and paige sorry it just doesn't seem to work. it was really different when shane and carmen first met in season 2... you can see that they click right away. I want her to resolve the hanging issue she had with carmen in S3... doing all the unthinkable things that we thought shane would not do... she wore a dress for her before... well there could be some problem with the trust issue but as they say everything can be worked out specially if you still both LOVE EACH OTHER.
3. BETTE/ TINA: Their relationship has been played out all throughout s1-3. Its better for Bette to find someone that won't just follow her... someone on the same level as she does. As for Tina... no returning to men... though i don't want her hooking it up with helena coz i wanna see helena with alice if there's really no possibility for Erin to be back. I'm not sure but how about a Tasha-Tina hook up after all Tina's been working in some sort of social support thing with Oscar she would be great with Tasha after all the trauma she suffered from the wars she's been too.
3. KIT: didn't like the angus relationship at all... even with that guy in S2... go back to IVAN. IVAN would be helping Kit back to her feet again and eventually have that relationship she's longing for.
4. JENNY: oh poor jenny what will be my utmost wish for you... I really like her with Marina and even with robin. perhaps the two will show up again in her life and finally she'll be with the person she really loves. sorry just really can't think much more with her character but i really would like to see a lighter side of her no more creepy flashbacks... i do like her short her in season 2 as well.
5. HELENA: the helena in season 3 i like... not so bitchy but still with the perfect grace and english accent. again will be hooking up with ALICE if erin can't be back. Ok, second choice would be her back with dylan. She would be rich again but this time knowing the value of money... she would be a smarter person this time out.
6. MAX: Kinda like what she said to Dana when they watch the BBALL GAME... a better actor to play... daniela is just so dry of an actor... it kills the good ones there.
Well i guess thats about it... i just really want to see the old relationship of friends that the show has during their 1st 3 season. it was lost this season... its sad coz at the end of the day we all konw that we can find solace in our friends... though we want to see our favorite characters have different relationship we also want to see that inspite of our busy life we don't forget to spend time with our friends. the show was able to have that before please have it back.
we are all allowed to hope and dream right!!!!

Allow characters to grow
In a nutshell, i would like to see proper character development over a few episodes, rather than making the new characters do everything in under 20 minutes.
Specifically, i'd like:
- Paige and Shane to settle down (i'm sure someone could persuade Kristina Loken to come back to the show?!)
- Jenny to fall in love (so at least she would have a reason to go a little crazy)
- Helena and Bette to get it on; then Bette and Tina get back together and Helena gets it on with Marina
- more scenes at The Planet with live bands
- The Planet to get a great review in a national magazine, so Kit gets recognised for her hard work
Lastly, but maybe should have been firstly, change the theme tune and do not just paste in the new characters, it looks tacky!

i quite like this season, of course it's nowhere near season 1. they're like a music band, first album rocks, but is followed by mediocre ones, so i'm left wondering if they will ever do the great come-back.
anyway, the season is kind of disjointed, the storylines seem to be going nowhere, e.g. Shane-Paige, and it's not like i have enjoyed the ride either. Max's storyline could have been more interesting, now i can hardly bother. oh, and the sex scene was baaaaad! i did like his girlfriend's underwear though! ;)
Shane-Carmen would have been good, if they explored Shane's possible "struggle" to settle down with her. i 'm wondering if the writers would think of bringing Ms Shahi back, but i wouldn't hold my breath.
Alice-Tasha: lovely couple, i bet TPTB will bring them down with a bang. and Dana in the last episode preview! ahh, i miss Alice-Dana. generally, i miss having Dana around. with Alice, without Alice, with the "soup chef", without the "soup chef", with a Subaru, without a Subaru...
Jenny... hmm... i wish she had a good lover, a steady relationship. hopefully this will happen in season 5.

Tina: wow! she saw the light, thanks to the GROSS scene in ep. 11. well, not that she didn't know before where the relationship with Henry was going, but that was the turning point. and i bet the eggs were off and smelled bad too.
Tina-Bette: great together. once chemistry, always chemistry. but they're like oil and water now, so Ms Chaiken please, get Tina a hot woman in the next season, and either hook up Bette with Jodi, or hook up Bette with someone HOT and leave us alone.
no wait, if you won't leave us alone, can we have more gatherings at the Planet, or scenes where people bond/enjoy themselves as friends do - e.g. Alice-Shane messing up with the billboard. loved that!

Hi- never posted before. All the way from South Africa. Obviously have not seen season 4 yet but been keeping up with the recaps on both this site and lword on line.
Carmen- bring her back IC. Let her make Shane beg, let her hook up with Papi, let her hook up with any member of the cast - just bring her back damn it.
Jenny- will the torture ever end? The carnival scenes were enough. She is such a good actress- can you at least allow her to play a more likeable tortured soul? Can she actually have some sex please, or just one episode of happiness.
Bette- I like strong Bette, the Bette of season 3 broke my heart. Can you please dress her in decent power outfits- refer to season 1. Would love to see Bette and Helena and of course can she and Tina just get married and get it over with. Can we have one happy committed couple please.
Tina- thank God she has come to her senses. Continue to give her good lines and scenes. More hot sex with Bette please. Again refer to season 1.
Shane- needs to get a life. Let her go find Carmen if she wants to play house. If not let her be the ho she was- I cannot bear it any longer. No chemistry with Paige.

What would I like to see in the next season? Well, for starters, in real life, the Senate is coming up with a bill for a pullout from Iraq by next year. If it passes, that means soldiers can start coming home for good. Keep your fingers crossed, kiddies. If all of us pray that the bill goes through, then Tasha WILL be back. Intact. That said, here's a list of what I think could happen next season:
- If Shane and Paige break up, then a believable explanation i.e. Paige's ex-husband/boyfriend showing up (can you say powder keg) is in order. Of course if Carmen resurfaces, all bets are off.
- More of Phyllis and Joyce. They are so cute together. There should be lots of vacations, house parties (for the whole gang to show up with hilarious results) Looks like the guest house is gonna be occupied again. Really, that's a sweet-looking pad.
- Jenny, Jenny Jenny. WHAT are we going to do with you? One minute I want to hug you the next I wanna smack you silly. She needs to get her drek together, provided she washes ashore sometime soon. Maybe another trip to the funny farm is in order and once she comes home Shane can play nurse (please refer to no. 1).
- Alice not to freak out like she did in the beginning of Season 3. And of course Tasha to come back, for good. Hopefully, she won't be injured, but I'm dreading even more post-traumatic stress. Papi's growing on me, so she could be around to get back in play once she's done sniffing after Kit (one word: yikes!). My God, it's a Morrissey song waiting to happen. Oh and I would like for Alice to do her show live from the Planet.
- Curious as to what happens to Helena. While Catherine deserved to be robbed blind, grand larceny is a felony. I hope Helena hides for a while, doesn't end up in the clink or Catherine magically switches places with Jenny...
- Might as well get used to seeing Kate around even though she looks EXACTLY like Claire Stansfield. At least she doesn't have that deep scratchy voice *shudder*
- I don't care what anyone thinks, I happen to like Max. Yeah the acting sucks, but if he's supposed to come across as a geek then it works. and I can actually understand his cyberbabble. Gotta lose the soul patch, though, it looks like a Dirty Sanchez remnant.
- Last, but not least, the inevitable Tina-Bette-Jodi triangle. Jodi is a great lady, but she and Bette are too much alike and when they argue, it's like the Clash of the Titans Part Deaux. It's fun for the first thirty seconds before it becomes a painful to watch. On the other hand, Jodi is a lot more perceptive than people give her credit for. She may "miss things" at times, but she can read body language and catch the meaning behind the active communication. Assuming Jodi's going to be in New York for a for a while (they might ask her to do another sculpture), there could be some highly charged tension between Bette and Tina. There's a definite change in the relationship in which Bette is more willing to listen to what Tina has to say, and the conversations have gotten more honest and heartfelt. It all depends on how long Tina can hold out before the tension eventually snaps. That, and Bette is now torn between two women and may be forced to choose. Hopefully, she'll come to her senses and come back to Tina. If that happens, then I'd like to see a wedding that turns into a comedy of errors complete with slapstick antics and woe to the soul who loses the ring...

More unique storylines. The end of S4 really had me thinking that Max was uh...going to do himself in. :( He just had that horrible look in his eyes. If they are going to portay his character, I agree with avoiding the usual trans text-book storylines. I think this is where LW can gain more depth.
Unlikely hookups. Surprise me.
Tension - and leave me hanging for a couple eps or something. And if there's tension, make it between Alpha-Bette and anyone.
Tie up some loose ends. Lara? I think I missed those two lines in the first eps that wrapped that bidness up. I think LW can be better at closing storylines.
More kissin'. Yeah, that's right. I've got a good 30+ years of watching hets on TV go at it. So, more please.
Guest stars. Bring them on but don't make a big deal of it and don't wrap the storyline around them.
More eps. 12 is not enough for this chick.

I'm going to jump on board with Trent's ideas, if the next season turned out that way, I will be more than pleased. Hopefully then there will be a Season 6, as well.
Kate and that writer lady made me like Jenny for a split second, ugh that says so much. Even though I don't like her character, she's great on the show, I like to have an central place to channel my disdain. Shane-Carmen-Papi, would be so funny and entertaining, as would the aforementioned slapstick involving 3 or more of them trying to accomplish anything. (like the Lara & 17 Sign, missions). Oh, Kroll and Joyce were adorable, I want to try some of those garden tours (in about 10 years after I'm long established and my home is paid off).

i've always been wanting for them to introduce a new FUN character...a funny one, and i've always wanted (since season 3) for them to get someone a little younger, you know, fresh outa highschool, but mature enough to hang out with the crew...but bringing some fun highlights to the show...and it would be nice to have a character that us youngins could relate to. Maybe a cute little skater girl that shows up at shane's hair place and sweeps someone off her feet with her cute tomboyish charm...i'm still waiting damnit!
and i actually really liked the spirit of dana scene in the finale...i wouldn't be mad if they brought that back again...and it'd be rad to see helena hook up with someone FUN and not so snobby.........

Predictions
I won't post what i'd like to happen next season, because each time i've been disappointed, instead i'm bracing myself for what will likely happen.
So, these are my predictions about season 5....
1. Shane will have an even more annoying hair style than last season.
2. Papi will remain, therefore simultaneously stimulating thousands of rolling eyes as she cliches the player ego-centric lingo and dodgy accent.
3. Max will *still* be reappearing. Who needs acting talent on a tv show anyway? That would be ridiculous, such as asking why kill Dana off, because we could list a million great reasons for that?
4. We'll be lured into the absurd thought of a sustained, happy relationship for Bette and Jodie, then BAMM! One gets cancer, one turns hetero, you know, the usual....
5. Betty will *still* be causing us to mute half the episode.
6. Alice and Tasha will have this back-and-forth struggle with their relationship all being defined in the finale episode.
7. Shane will ditch the soccer mum facade as soon as she sees dinosaur-shaped-food in the fridge.
8. Helena will some how become rich again, after she's been stitched up by Catherine, who screams untrustworthy as much as sleazy.
9. Tina will suddenly 'be gay again', she'll thinly veil sexual innuendos in Bette's direction, who will be highly flattered - tallying them up, and then they'll kiss. Shown in the preview before the finale.
10. Angelica will still be adorable.
11. Angus will linger about for a bit being all whiney and 'tortured guitar player who can only string one note'. Kit will scarily enough find this attractive, but then Papis probably replused her to think that even craggy 'musicians' are attractive.
12. Paige will disappear after episode one, but probably return much later for a guest episode to get the forums buzzing again.
13. Jenny will still be trapped between selfabsorption and borderline - mildly funny- personality disorder.
14. Alice will still be the funniest character.
15. Jodie will be character assassinated, all by accident as usual.
16. Something will happen in Iraq with Tasha that just oozes DRAMA and REVELATIONS, you know, exactly how they display words over the first previews of the season....
17. Kit will wage on being an alcoholic, maybe she'll get a drug habit too, doom and gloom is only inevitable on this show.
18. Everyone will still be glued to this show, despite annoyances or a really bad season.
19. The L word will try again to talk politics, perhaps include a live performance of 'dear mr. president' to really achieve irrelevance in a tv show based more on lipgloss than say the stock market.
20. It will promise to be 'better than ever', cue all the cast nodding heads in agreement.
21. Something will happen that will please us. Something will happen which will piss us off. The difference in the middle will determine how well the season pans out.

I think that's when Shane and Papi/Eva Torres are going to have a real competition, fighting over Carmen in season 5. Paige only got 1 episode (in the interview she said she will only appear in episode 1) in the upcoming season. It's time for Shane to woo back Carmen and heat up the show again.
I've checked out imdb.com and it looks like most of Sarah Shahi's dramas/films are either completed or in post production. Since TLW is going to start filming in June, Sarah could be back on the show!

Jodi & Bette has to be the new power couple in the show.
I couldnt imagine Bette without Tina, but now i think Jodi's better.

And so is Tasha and Alice. I hope they stay together. I hope Alice stops getting heartbroken. She deserves another long-term relationship after Dana.

Helena & dylan - I'd love to see Dylan return, there was really good chemistry between AH & RS. I think a lot of people would like to see that story played out.
Bette & Jodi - uggh. I *hate* watching these two kiss. I'm not sure if I want Bette & Tina to be together again, but I'd rather see that than Jodi & Bette.

Bette and Jodi... The lady taught the kid to sign. You girls can hate all you want. But she is changing to be what Bette wants (which is loyalty). My gf is going for Tina and Bette, and I'm sure it will end up with them being their big happy family, but the show KILLED that couple for me. They were the only ones that stuck together and since season 1 they've been off and on. That's not the ideal couple for me. At least Bette and Jodi is fresh.

I'm totally agree with you. Paige is annoying and with Shane, there's just no chemistry. The sex scenes are cheap and disastrous.
I like Tasha character but she and Alice just don't click. Alice should be with someone funny or fun.
Tina should meet someone new.
Leave Bette and Jodi alone. They are not ideal couple but let them hang on for at least one or two seasons.
