Kinda sucked. Because there wasn't much developement of anything.
Kit tried something. Failed at it too. Phyllis popped in long enough to b her usual freaky, and I don't mean that in a good way, self. Jodi and Bette just stared at each other. Tina had a scene with some guy. Tash flashed back to Iraq. Alice bought a watch. Shane wore a hat.

Is it just me or has this season gone downhill since episode 6 or 7? I'm bored with the storyline of Shane and Paige, poor Helena has nothing going for her this season but playing "poe-kah", Tina's with a guy who clips his toenails on the coffeetable, Kit is falling apart, and I'm really missing Carmen and Dana. Ok, ok, so we can't bring Dana back from the dead, but dude. How quickly do these girls forget the loves of their lives? And Carmen, for all the supposed DJ'ing she did, should not simply disappear. It takes away from the credibility of the show. If contracts don't allow people to come back to TLW, well, can't we even mention them in name??? Paging Lord Voldemort.... Hello!! How the hell do you forget CARMEN!?!??!?
That said, on the flip side, part of me is jonesin' to see Bette and Tina get back together, I'm glad Max is getting some more airtime, and not just talking weblogs and crap, I dig Tasha and love her chemistry with Alice, happy Cherie Jaffe (sp?) has fallen off the face of the Earth, and Phyllis was better-acted and more believable in episode 11 than in any other ep.
Oh, and one more thing. Anyone notice the scene where Bette seems to have no feet!? Hah! The weird camera angle drained all my attention away from the would-be pop-pop-fizz-fizz between her and Jodi in the kitchen and I could do nothing but stare at the bottom hem of Bette's pants, wondering "where'd they go?!"
This episode was all fizzle. When the best parts of the episode are Bette's awesome reading glasses and the musical guest, something is amiss.
Papi/Kit. Ew. Just, ew. Wasn't even necessary to go there. Papi, however, was looking so very fine this episode.
Paige/Shane. Don't like Paige, don't like her with Shane. Shane's hat looked nice though, and yes, it was an ugly purse.
Phyllis. Whatever. It is a storyline that could be effective if it wasn't so poorly written. Oh-my-darling Clementine may look like her mother, but she didn't inherit her acting chops.
I found the overhyped Bette/Tina exchange interesting. Amazing to me was how Tina managed to make it all about her -- how unhappy she is, how much Jenny is driving her crazy, how hard it was to see Bette with Jodi. Apparently she has been spending too much time with Jenny, she's caught a raging case of narcissicism.
Jodi/Bette. Somehow they managed to make me not even care. Except to wonder what the hell Bette was thinking when she got dressed that morning.
I still like Tasha/Alice, but their relationship has all the usual hallmarks of a pending LW tragedy. Must IC shower death and mayhem over every likeable couple? Weren't there promises of a stable, happy relationship this season? God, if it turns out to be Max and Grace I will be seriously peeved.
I just finished watching the episode. I ave to say, it wasnt engaging at all. usually i am pinned to the screen, waiting for one of the characters to breathe loudly. this time, my attention wandered. it was just boring. and for christ sake, i totally agree that the exchange between papi and kit was completely uncalled for. not only has "hard luck" Kit been utterly boring, but i think that papi is a complete and total abomination and should be wiped off the face of the "l word" planet. not only was their interaction completely anticlimatic (literally), the two have no on screen chemistry whatsoever. they are almost as painful to watch as helena and "the wicked witch of the west" (but not quite)
shane and paige are cute, but damnit, i miss carmen! paige and shane just dont have the same flair, the same spice. alice just can't seem to catch a break. tasha, as thought she would, is about to loose her mind. i guess it was too much to ask that she remain a good character, and, god forbid, stay on the show. not only is she the only black lesbian on the show, her character has been, for the most part, very well done. or maybe papi has just rendered me deaf and dumb because of the blatant racial stereotyping. either way, tasha is the only character on the show that isnt overdone, overdramatic, or just plain stupid. it's a shame really. she kind of rounded out the show. i mean, how long are they going to count on bette to hold the "minority" flag anyway?she isnt doing a very good job of it, she only claims her biracial heriatge when it's convinient to her.
and dont even get me started on her and jodi. they're great together, it's really toobad that they're both stubborn, willfull idiots.
and tina. oh tina. she and jenny can both go crawl into a hole and die.

so to make a long story short, i was completely unimpressed and disappointed with this week's episode. i'm sure the same message could have been conveyed in a few sentences, but i had to rant. i feel like i just wasted an our of my life that i will never get back.
I so hope they get back together but that wont happen with little miss Kate the Director.Shes hot but Bette is hotter and I still want jodi in the show!
They should give us one powerful Bette and Tina scene to end the season, like what was built to happen last week, but didn't. That'd be great going into the 5th season, something to look forward to on the show, since we can't get Dana back. Also a really good Shane scene, maybe her being there for Alice around the Tasha situation doing something lighthearted together or something like a few episodes ago.
No more Catherine, unless they make her more evil, with Jenny as an accomplice. If the Alice - Tasha thing could steer clear of where everyone thought it was going in the beginning, that'd be great. To round it out, Kit gets a new man and Papi gets a new girlfriend, she should meet her match like Bette did.
