Am I really Making This? Hair. =)

So, I've become sick of my haircut and feel as though I need to move to something shorter. Again. For four years it's been getting shorter and shorter--from my waist to mid-neck--and it's finally time to get something completely off the neck. 

Unfortunately, I've never been able to find a stylist who can capture my personality in a haircut. Am I expecting you guys to?  Course not. I would, however, love some ideas from the AE world. It's tough to surf the web for short female hair styles because they're all either extremely feminine (and I'm down the middle) or really trendy (which I'm not). Just trying to find something... that I can leave the way it is or moose/gel if the mood catches me. That's not too butch. =D

Do you ladies have any women whose hair you like? Short hair yourself? ...Something else?

Haha not really sure what I'm looking for, but it would be nice to be able to bring something to my stylist. Who wants to contribute to a person's hair? You'll have a little piece of your brilliance walking around somewhere.
