Jamie - Mad About You

so, perhaps i have been living under a rock BUT i was just watching a rerun of mad about you where jamie and paul are talking about fantasies. and jamie mentions fantasising about men and women. i'm not familiar enough with the show to know whether this was just a throw away comment, or was jamie considered bisexual? if so, was this like common knowledge that i'm just out of the loop on? :-P
