Route 66

Well, on my 'to-do-list-before-i-turn-30' i've written in bold and CAPITAL letters a trip in the US of A from West to East Coast.

The way I want to do it is renting the nicest Shelby Mustang GT (of course with racing lines) and take the legendary Route 66! 

I still have 4 years left, but I thought I can't start early enough collecting info (especially as I might be able to take the trip within a year!). So, if any of you ever did that trip, simply have suggestions where to stay and eat on the way or where I can find the nicest Shelby, I'ld be more than greatful, if you share that info with me!
