What can I do?

So, I am tired of just bitching about gay marraige, but I don't know what I can do as an individual.  I live in a small town in texas and I feel really powerless. There isn't really a group I can join or anything like that.  What can I do in my position to actually DO something.  Any suggestions on what you have done or heard about people doing would be great or if there is some sort of website. Right now I get letters from courage campaign and follow them, but thats about it.
