Hands up for the Irish!? (northern and southern)

Allo, im from Ireland too, from Cork but living in Dublin. I have to say I really like the scene here, it's started to change lately and theres more choice in terms of independant nights, as in the gay scene isnt just centered around one or two gay clubs anymore, it's great! Also, if your new to the Irish gay scene then id highly recommend you join Queerid.com, it's like Afterellen except just for Ireland and it's for guys and girls, that's how I met all my gay mates and ive never looked back! :-D

Id def check out Queerid.com for listings for all things gay, there's generally something on every nights of the week which is cool, we're lucky butit also means im incredibly poor as I go out way too much! Oh, and for those of you who are new to the scene id also recommend Gaydargirls, I know theres a few lunatics on it but there's also some lovely girs, ive made a few friends from it! :-D

Ah, no need to worry, the thing about it is you just need to build up your confidence, im quite shy too but making mates on Gaydar or wherever most definately helps improve it. I know it's not the easiest thing in the world but you should get yourself out there, theres a whole huge gay world out there only waiting to be enjoyed like! Just join the gay soc and who cares if people find out your gay, they probably wont anyway and even if they do you can be almost sure they wont mind, try the gay soc, email them and ask them to meet you before one of the coffee mornings or whatever they have, life is far too short not to at least try! :-D

Ah, theres no reason not to be optimistic, when I first went out on the scene I knew fecking no one, went to Kiss the lesbian night by myself and all and it went so bad I swore id never go to another gay night, but I did eventually and now things are very different, it just takes time is all.
