What ever happened to Brooke Smith?

I was just wondering if anybody has any links to any appearance that she's made since leaving Grey's Anatomy, any of the cast members mentioning her, any interviewer asking anybody about her and why she was fired from Grey's Anatomy? It remains a mystery to me. I'm hoping TR Knight may give some insight into what's been going on on set now that he's left.

The only thing I saw was Patrick Dempsey actively not-answering/passively answering a question Ellen posed just after it happened.
