Cracks with Eva Green = disappointing AND Chloe with Julianne Moore = awesome

I've seen both and thought you all would like to know if they contained any dykey stuff...

Cracks made me bitter as I was waiting to see the "lesbian" relationship Eva has with one of her students as I had read about on AfterEllen a while back.  This is what you get: the alleged student actually fears Eva.  There isn't a single moment where the student and Eva have consensual flirtations.  The only true lesbianish moment ( a disturbing scene) is when the student passes out from drunkeness and Eva takes her to her room and proceeds to kiss and undress her while she is still passed out. Eva says "We'll travel the world together...don't make me beg" as she continues to kiss her neck. The next morning the student says "Everyone must know what you did to me".  Now as a film it's stunning and awesome so watch it for Eva. It's the directorial debut of Jordan Scott.  Yep, her father is that famous director.

Chloe had several authentic dykey moments and it wasn't directed to please the heterosexual male as stated on a post on this site.  Atom Egoyan is a famous Canadian director so for him to include shots of "hand sex" is radical.  You would never see this stuff in a mainstream American film.  Only a handful of lesbian films directed by lesbian filmakers EVEN show "hand sex" shots. The only one that comes to mind is "Loving Annabelle" and "When Night is Falling".  Oops, When Night is Falling is Canadian! Add to the fact that it's between Julianne and Amanda who are mainstream American actresses!  Everytime an American film wants to include a lesbian relationship we always end up being gypped with no proper physical contact.  I don't want to ruin it for you so I won't reveal much more.  Julianne  even falls for Amanda during the film...it's gorgeous, entertaining and brilliant. Watch it. To all who say Julianne did not fall for Amanda.  She did--the screenwriter told me so.
