Righty or Lefty?

Okay, here's a silly question, but I can't help myself. I'm curious. My best friend just told me she read while there are only 10-12% of left-handed people in the entire population, the percentage is MUCH higher among bisexual and gay women. Is that true? Aren't lefties supposed to be more prone to creative and emotional thinking? Then again, historically, weren't lefties believed to be directly related to the devil? LOL All the bases are covered there, but I guess what I'm asking is: Are you left-handed or right-handed?

I use my left hand to write and eat but for the most part I use my right hand for everything else - the number pad on a computer, calculator, golfing, etc.

i heard that too...about lefty's having a higher percentage of gays and lesbians. but then again i heard that lefty's die like 6 years earliar then righty's as well. it was all from the same site so hopefully someone will prove the 2nd one wrong. :)

I took biological psychology and it does say that left anded people have a higher predisposition to homosexual/bisexual tendences. Love being a lefty

but born a lefty. I had to change because of school, but I still retain some leftiness (is that even a word?). Anyway, apparently according to my mother, if I was really strongly predisposed to be a lefty, any amount of coercion wouldn't have turned me into a righty. For example, one of my Aunt (lefty, though of the hetro persuasion) is still a lefty despite being scolded constantly for using her left hand, and whilst she temporarily gave in under the pressure, she went back to her leftiness when she married. However, I believe there are many other elements that played a part.

i am bisexual, and creative.. not feeling the devil-vibe that much, though i'm by no means Christian either. I hope i don't die 6 six sooner because i write and do other things with my left hand instead of my right.

i am left-winged as well though (aren't most lesbians/bisexuals?). Perhaps someone should research whether the conservative right-wingers have a high percentage of lefties?

but then i used to draw a lot instead of study, so "the dragon" aka mom kinda smacked my hand a lot with a cane (corporal punishment).. and it hurt a lot to pick up a pencil, so i had to learn how to use my right hand..

Wouldn't it be more useful to be able to do everything with both hands.? (Which is why I write with the left hand sometimes... wouldn't want it to feel left out XD)

So far it seems like the theory is working out :) (or it means left-handed people visit forums more or tend to speak up more or are more interested in the topic anyhow XD)

I write with my left hand but I throw with my right. But when throw a ball, I throw it with my right, but when I throw a Frisbee, it's with my left. I play ping pong with my left but tennis with my right. If you mean solely which hand I write with, I'm a lefty.

the only thing i can do with my left hand is hold chords on the guitar & catch a softball (glovehand). it's freaking retarded...ever since i was little i have been practicing writing with my left hand (i was paranoid & decided i should in case i ended up not being able to write with my right for some reason).

I'm not very creative and artistic. The best I can do in that sector is creative writing. I barely use my left for anything except to type, eat,hold a ruler, etc. My best co-ordination is with my right hand.

But then again biology is made of a lot of exceptions and constant changes, so I guess I'm the all round righty lesbian.

lefty and proud!! my ring fingers are also longer than my index fingers, and im very creative and super good at raquet sports (tennis, squash, ping pong). lefties are supposed to have a natural advantage in racquet sports because there are fewer of them so righties do not know how to return lefty serves. oh, and im gay as well. yey. another interesting fact is that polar bears have always been my favorite animal for some reason, and i recently found out that the majority of polar bears are left handed. a while ago i heard that 90% of lesbians are left-handed and 50% of gays are left-handed. Or something like that. I dont remember the exact statistic. so cool
