Hi from Northern Virginia -- anyone else??

Hi all,  just checking in as a newbie from No. Va.  Looking forward to connecting with people.  new to this forum but not to forums in general.  hope there's lots of chat here!!!  still working my way around the site!

live in arlington with my partner of nearly 29 years -- met in college and that was that.  kind of like backing up the u-haul after the first date!!  we've got 2 kitties -- typical lesbian family.  no kids, but tons of friends with kids, which is kinda weird sometimes!  i work in the mental health field on a toll-free info and referral line; it can be draining, but it's also interesting.  never a dull day!!!!
