Facebook, for the millionth time, is the culprit

There are several girls in my uni who are fans of the L word (and I dislike the show!) but they're straight. So they say.

Anyway, when I have a crush on a "girly"/"femme" woman I always end up asking myself why the hell I assume pretty ladies couldn't be gay? Are lesbians supposed to be (sorry) "ugly"? Hum... Whatever. I'm not replying to your thread and anyway going to bed too. And by the way I consider myself rather "femme". Good luck with your co-worker.

im like really really femme, but i still like women lol. i think its much harder when lesbians are femme cause u dont wanna ask them for them to say noo there not lesbian, but then u dont wanna miss out on anything.  so yh u could ask her but be prepared for awkwardness if she is straight. then again they might be little signals to let girls know she is interested, but she cant really say anything.

none of that probably makes sense but it is 2.36 am here lol. so im also off to bed. oh and i always use little signals like that to let girls know im interested so just keep ur eyes open if u spot anything else.

I'm very femme, but also definitely into girls, so I wouldn't worry about her seeming too femme in real life.  I also kind of use facebook as a way to make it semi-obvious that I'm at least bi even though I'm not really out to everyone...leaving "interested in" blank, joining all sorts of gay-marriage, etc. groups, stuff like that.

On the other hand, it's also very true that even straight girls like Megan Fox and think she's insanely hot, and I'm sure some who like the L Word, so it's impossible to say for sure without asking her. If I had to guess, I'd go with Naima...probably at least bi. But then again, that could just be me hoping for one more femme in the world ;) (she's all yours, though!)...

my closest friend (who is straight, not narrow) however also has blank interests and i asked her about it after reading the other fb thread and she said she just isn't interested in dating AT ALL. she was joking she is probably asexual, but anyway.

i wish we could just generalize, but i guess that wouldn't be as accurate as we want it to be.

my facebook 'interested in' section is left blank and the way she is making herself appear bi (at least) is something i would be likely to do..and i'm reallllllllly femme

I leave my "interested in" section blank, joint gay rights groups and listed TLW as one of my fave!

More, I stated my status as "in a relationship" but with no one... ;)

I'm talking to her now, and she's bi

She hasn't told anyone except two other people, so she's really really happy that I brought it up because she can finally talk to someone about it.

(As a side note it is so sad that society has made us think of ourselves and other gay people like that...as if a "hot" girl couldn't be gay or bi...sad, very sad!)

So this isn't even relevant anymore, but I kinda just feel like shouting it from the rooftops haha,- but we kissed. And it was perfect.
