CALLING ALL METALHEADS!Thrash, Doom, Speed, Stoner, Black, I don't care! (Thrash is my favourite, though) I've been listening to AC/DC since I was four and I wanna see how many other girls here rock out every f***ing day! Oh, and let's try and keep band dissing to a minimum. Nobody has PERFECT taste in music because musical quality is subjective. There can be friendly debates or "Really? Band A? I think Band B is better." Favourite hard rock/ metal bands? Recommendations for new bands? Whatever you'd like. \m/ \m/ Submitted by Aki (36 posts) on July 4, 2009 - 1:30am. |

not doing something."!!
Metallica makes me wanna
OHH yeah
Pantera love that band! Old metallica was awesome. I was in a crappy metal band we we're known for being horrible when I was younger. Man, I blew out ear drums, and tried to do shredding solos at the same time. Good Times :) I'm still a metalhead at heart. I just hate the new metal bands that are out. I'm old school.

Indeed.
It seems to me like a lot of new metal bands are just stereotypical robotic drumming and screeching horribly. Classic metal is amazing.
"Regret? That's a screwed-up word. I'd rather regret doing something than regret
not doing something."New metal?
Anybody have any good new metal bands? (Not nu-metal, lol)
Fair to Midland is a band I love that can be considered metal, if not just hard rock. I'm also getting into those classic horror punks The Misfits. Or abstract metal like Kayo Dot

And others too.
They are by a band named Korpiklaani. ^_^
I certainly prefer doom &
I certainly prefer doom & stoner, but I like metal in general.
Some bands I like: My Dying Bride (the Peaceville Three were the revelation that really got me hooked to metal), Saint Vitus, Electric Wizard, Reverend Bizarre, Cathedral, Candlemass, Baroness, Black Sabbath (Ozzy period mainly), Led Zeppelin, Down, Corrosion of Conformity, Motörhead, Girlschool, Arch Enemy, Vreid, Notre Dame, Machine Head, Opeth, Tool (Puscifer and A Perfect Circle too), Devin Townsend, Epica, Gojira, Pain Of Salvation, Shining, Moonspell, Type O Negative, Tiamat, Deftones...
Went to Hellfest (France) and Wacken this year! Both festivals were great!
Korpiklaani's fun, I've had so many missed opportunities to see them live I should be ashamed.

I don't know if it's the same outside France, but here all the metalheads talk about it:
Slipknot - Wait & Bleeed (Disney version) This one's funny!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wG6G4XBnvLQ
Beyonce - Halo (Gothic Metal version) The guy did a great job on this one.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uRkoiaUxZF0
Find also some Lamb Of God songs and a Jonas Brothers song. I didn't know this last band and when I read "Paranoid (Death Metal Version)" I was all giggling, thinking it was a Black Sabbath cover. :/
