I'm not the biggest metalhead but i do listen from time to time. I also listen to (hard) rock bands in Japanese (J-Rock). But i've been a horrible J-Rock fan and have not kept up with the news... But a few bands -

Pantera love that band! Old metallica was awesome. I was in a crappy metal band we we're known for being horrible when I was younger. Man, I blew out ear drums, and tried to do shredding solos at the same time. Good Times :) I'm still a metalhead at heart. I just hate the new metal bands that are out. I'm old school.

I agree with brackishtea lead singer yeah pretty sexy I would want to play in her band.  Also lacuna coil singer is pretty sexy although the music is too similar to evanescense. Also system of a down, and My dying Bride I forgot to add.

I certainly prefer doom & stoner, but I like metal in general.

Some bands I like: My Dying Bride (the Peaceville Three were the revelation that really got me hooked to metal), Saint Vitus, Electric Wizard, Reverend Bizarre, Cathedral, Candlemass, Baroness, Black Sabbath (Ozzy period mainly), Led Zeppelin, Down, Corrosion of Conformity, Motörhead, Girlschool, Arch Enemy, Vreid, Notre Dame, Machine Head, Opeth, Tool (Puscifer and A Perfect Circle too), Devin Townsend, Epica, Gojira, Pain Of Salvation, Shining, Moonspell, Type O Negative, Tiamat, Deftones...

Went to Hellfest (France) and Wacken this year! Both festivals were great!

Korpiklaani's fun, I've had so many missed opportunities to see them live I should be ashamed.
