gay visibility is ok here what. im sure UK embraces it in every way possible, but here it's not unusual to see the typical butch-passive couple showing some affection. which is not my cup of tea, but still, its a start for gay culture. and well, most parents know or suspect their gay children are gay. there are tell-tale signs. they just choose to ignore them really.
you could always go to play! It was happy. It's at Tanjong Pagar which is like central singapore. But play's lesbian night is only on thursday. You could also try club home it used to be mad monks the most popular lesbian club. On the first thursday of the month you have to be 21+ to get into play. everyother saturday it's like anyone can get in as long as you have a partner or smth like that.
eh, i don't really like 'play', it's kind of, youngpunk wannabe dodgy characters. with pretty bad music. btw, 'home' club is no longer a lesbian hangout. it attracts the wildest indie tunes around, usually local and indie rockers go there. cool place though, if you're into that sorta thing. but 'play', urgh, no way.

Plus i heard Irene Ang ( rosie from phua chu kang ) goes there with her girlfriend every thursday. Her girlfriend is rebecca tan or something like that. Actually, Singapore doesn't really have a good gay club scene. Zouk's nice but it's not gay enough..
