I used to think that straight girls acted gay for the attention it garners, but due to an inordinate number of facebook pics (of that particular caliber) showing no male presence, I have no idea. If its any help, I used to act in a very similar manner, before I came out to myself.

And that is not what sexual fluidity is about. Sexual fluidity involves attraction and some form of intimate affection that goes deeper than ones curiousity and kissing and sexual contact.

Those girls you are referencing we would like to call barsexuals. They do it for attention thinking it is cool or hot when it is not. They basically exploit the lesbian/bisexual name for selfish agendas and it is not right. The media does too and I am tired of it because it is wrong.

You never seen an actual lesbian who has a sense of morals and self respect being seen as a sex object by mainstream. The act of lesbianism/bisexuality is sexy not the relationships in which men are excluded.

I think it has a lot more to do with genuine experimentation and having a good time than wowing the boys, as I've seen girls do this without the presence of guys as well. It's something fun, not to be taken as a definitive choice either way, something they can get away with within the parametres of society that still pushes the limit a bit.

 It's like, "Hey let's go camping for a night or two!" as opposed to "I NEVER WANT TO CAMP EVER" or "I don't ever want to go home, camping is my life!"

Honestly, it bothers me more than seeing/hearing about straight girls macking it when hear lesbians whine and complain about 'bi-curious girls ruining the names of REAL lesbians and LEGIT bisexuals everywhere', when the whole 'kiss girls for guys/shits n' giggles' has nothing to do with claiming to be gay or bisexual, or assuming that role/responsibility in any way. It just means 'I'm drunk, I like to fool around with girls at parties, wooo!'. Imposing restrictions on what functionally heterosexual people do with their time and their identities is as ridiculous as straight folk doing the same to us. And sexuality, particularly amongst women, is a fluid thing, so let it be, perhaps one day they'll realise something about themselves, if not, there's no real loss to our community or our well-being, is there?

so she 'experiments' with this lesbian, until some dick gives her the slightest sort of attention, and whadaya know, the lesbian is thrown under the bed with all her other sex toys and dirty laundry.

i dont approve of this, its whorish, and gives a bad name for all of us. most people are ignorant enough about homosexuals, and we're trying our best to prove ourselves to them that we're not just into it for the 'sex and thrill', there is a deeper emotional psychology that comes along with it. hearing about these sluts shames me.
