was a social site i don't know if it still exists because i went on downelink and can't find it anymore. But under the Blaq Womyn group has a page on their as well i am not sure how frequently they update but you should find something. My best bet would be to search downelink.com.

If you are looking for a book club type of deal, my girlfriend found one on meetup.com. When she told me she was looking for a black, lesbian, book club I told her good luck. And she managed to find the only one here in orlando...
I try to post as many active sites as possible in the links bar of my blog when I find them. Problem is, by the time I get to them, they haven't been active for like a year or they are really geographically specific with none of them even 100 miles near me.
As far as book clubs go, we don't have to be in the same place to read the same book and talk about it. If you're interested in starting a black lesbian book club, let's do it. Leave a reply here with book suggestions and I volunteer to moderate on my WordPress blog. I say we start off with something not too heavy like Linda Villarosa's "Passing for Black"
Me and Lunakiss have been trading private messages here on AE and have decided to start this book club for real. Sorry if I haven't messaged anyone else but I have no idea how to add someone as a buddy.
We're going to start off July 1st with "Passing For Black". It will be moderated on my blog (www.swandiver.wordpress.com) and you can read more about it there as well as leave book suggestions in the comments.
I'm really looking forward to this and hearing from as many women as possible. I think one of the things we should also do is come up with a name for the club.

As a black, lesbian book worm, I am so down for this!
As for black lesbian literature/intelluctual sites, the only one that's coming to mind is 'The Angry Black Woman.' Now, this isn't lesbian, per se, but it is VERY LGBT supportive. In fact, the owner of the blog recently started up a magazine/online zine where she will ONLY accept submissions that feature a main character of color and main characters of color who are LGBT. The site is: http://theangryblackwoman.com
Also, it's not a book site, per se, but it does have some really good listings. A new site made for black lesbians is called Lesbian 411. Here's the link: http://lesbian411.info. It has a really great listing of books (it's how I found Helen Elaine Lee's 'The Serpent's Gift,' one of the best pieces of fiction I have ever read).
Another site is called Sistahs On The Shelf which is specifically made for black lesbians. I can't say I recommend this site as they have too many books under the headers 'erotica' and 'noir.' Just give me a great fiction story. Any day. Still good to at least take a gander at it: www.sistahsontheshelf.com.
Also, check out Fire and Ink Press (a publisher of specifically black LGBT literature) at http://fireandink.org.
I checked out all those sites already. Thank you. Nice to see some book worm addicts on here.
I don't know about the angryblackwoman website. I'm not angry. I am turned off by sites like those. I guess I'm lookng for something deeper. More spiritual.
Bleh, if you're a MIL (masculine-identified lesbian), then you may like http://beyondstud.ning.com/. I like to visit there every so often...like when DL is just getting too ignorant.
I havent seen anything
I havent seen anything like that.. I'll ask around tho maybe my friends know.

Mainly intellectual websites/ some what social. Sciences, African-American book reading club sure would be nice.
Yahoo groups doesn't cut it for me. Too much loops you got to jump through.
No Clue....
I haven't found any yet, and none of my friends have a clue either. If you find one before me, please send the link my way.

I am never on there though. I should check it out more often.
Very rarely on any site can I have a serious conversation with anyone.
