Imperfectly was my original login from years back. And then I started my blog Dorothy Surrenders last year as Dorothy Snarker. And now, whadayaknow, I've started blogging here, too. On the plus side, with all these personalities floating around, I never want for someone to talk to...
I'm looking for wonderful queer women to take a survey thats fun and informative. Its part of a sociological research project I'm conducting as a undergrad at New York University. Being a lesbian myself, I believe queer issues need to be given attention in today's society, and here is one way that I try to contribute to that. So if you have a little bit of free time and would like to participate, please follow the like below. Thanks so much.
I just wanted to let everybody know about Tokyo Wrestling - the first & currently the ONLY international lesbian & queer culture web magazine in Japan. We have interviews (Lisa Thrasher, Kanako Otsuji, Ilene Chaiken, Sachiko Takeuchi!), photography, film, art, fashion, music, events, and more!
This new lesbian website has been designed to promote Out, Proud, and Queer culture from throughout Japan and the world. It is now just making its debut -- and can be found at www.tokyowrestling.com
The site is a bilingual Japanese-English project with a fair amount of French as well.
Some available interviews include:
--Lisa Thrasher on 'Itty Bitty Titty Committee' Producer Lisa Thrasher of the non-profit POWER UP talks about this unique lesbian entertainment film organization and its newest film 'The Itty Bitty Titty Committee'
--Interview with Ilene Chaiken Ilene Chaiken, creator of the L word, talks about the lesbian baby boom, LA, and the genesis of the groundbreaking show
--Interview with Kanako Otsuji An upstanding lesbian and Japan's first out politician, Kanako Otsuji [Article for velvetpark magazine]
--Interview with Sachiko Takeuchi Vanguard for a new generation of Japanese lesbian comic writers,
Please bookmark Tokyo Wrestling and keep checking it out. We're still in the process of posting countless new reports and interviews -- there's so much more to come!!!
Me and a couple of friends are starting a new blog called 'No Borders Allowed'. In short, it will be a collaboration between various writers, a handful of regulars and guest writers.
Subjects may vary from the lighthearted (celebrities etc) to the more in depth articles (which can range from subjects such as the government etc).
For this we are looking for several 'staffers' i.e. regular writers. Do you think you have what it takes (which is not much really, just people with a good head on their shoulders ;-)) then contact me via my blog at http://blog.alrightstill.net) or e-mail me at webmaster@(NOSPAM)alrightstill.net or zeegersc@(NOSPAM)gmail.com. (remove the (NOSPAM) bits, or you know, just leave me a message at afterellen.com
--------------------
Like I said, various subjects will be tackled. If you can write about the Pro's and Con's of wearing the right dress and make it interesting, then by all means show us and your story can be featured.
Movie, Book and Television Reviews are also welcome.
Do you think people need to know about a certain thing and you can write it in a believable way?
-------------------- We are also looking for people to be interviewed on various series we are doing.
(so far)
Being LGBT In This is a series that will focus on LGBT people from all over the world. Questions will range from personal (when you came out etc) to political (what the heck can your country do) to fun (where are the cool places to hang out at). This can be be done anonymously if one would prefer.
---- We also want to do a small highlight feature every now and then for people who Self Injure. Shed a light on some of the misconceptions of SI.

Hi! I just wanted to recommend a collective blog open to public collaboration that we are working on : MARICON (basically translates into "fag") so far it's only in Spanish, but we're totally up for posting in any language. So come read us @
And send anything you would like to publish to mariconmail@gmail.com
PS. And while you're at it if you read Spanish, take a tour of our site,Comunidad Prodigy Media, and if you can, take a peek at my own personal blog: LA INTELIGENCIA PROMEDIO.
I have no idea if this post belongs here, so feel free to move it to its rightful place if it doesn't.
I
just thought I'd spread the word--a very good friend of mine FINALLY
(after MUCH coaxing) decided to start a blog. The content is just her
random musings about every day life (it's all just whimsical hilarity
to lighten up your day a little...).

Feel
free to check it out and/or leave her comments. And please do, if you
like what you're reading, pass this on to anyone you know.
Thanks a bunch!

Detroit, Mi, January 10, 2008 — The authors of The Lesbian Lifestyle Blog are pleased to announce the launch of their new website located at http://thelesbianlifestyle.com/. The new Wordpress powered blog offers more posting options for the authors, while the new design is clean and post focused. The Lesbian Lifestyle (TLL) is a multi-authored blog that has been sharing stories with the world since 2004. It's authors are lesbian women from around the globe that post about their lives and tackle the monthly topics posted by the blogs administrator, Kelly Leszczynski.
TLL's goal is to become the largest real-time lesbian storyteller on the Internet. Continually updating the stories of what we have all gone through, and continue to face and experience daily as individuals that identify as lesbians. Whether you’re feeling happy, confused, or indifferent you’re bound to find a little bit of every emotion here. TLL is a place where you can feel at home. A blog where you can read posts that let you know you’re not alone.
On January 15thTLL will begin taking nomination for the TLL Best Lesbian Blog of the year for 2007. The contest began last year and became a great way to learn about new blogs written by lesbians and honor those that are outstanding. We hope that you will announce the launch of the new site on your blog, link to the new website, or update your existing link to TLL.
A couple of years ago I kept a blog while on a roadtrip throughout the Eastern United States.
Darlene and I had met January 23rd, and I said to her, "What are you doing next Saturday?" and she said, "No much, why?" I said, "Do you want to escape the snowbanks of Nova Scotia for a few weeks?" She agreed and we packed the vehicle with all the necessities, some clothes, golf clubs, a cooler and an armload of maps and headed south for almost 6 weeks.
The blog was a way to let the folks back home know where we were and what we were doing. It allowd us to keep in touch without actually having to contact everyone while we were gone.
If you ever want to get to really know someone, go on a 6 week road trip with them. We are still together after nearly 2 years. Kinda gives a whole new meaning to "uhauling".
Soon to be planning our next adventure, stay tuned :-)
My blog is primarily a record of my triathlon training, but I try to provide resources for the fitness community, too. Like I put some cycling podcasts up, and I post swim workouts and general workout tips. Check it out, let me know if there's anything you want to see up there . . .

I've been blogging occasionally for AfterEllen lately, but I do so much more frequently (almost every week day) at my other blog. The topics range from cheesey pop culture (read: American Idol) to hard hitting legal issues that the LGBT community faces. Once I start law school this fall, it will probably be focused a little more about current events affecting us gays, but I reserve the right to post about random, pointless, yet entertaining drivel at the same time. :)

Don't go there if you're looking for warm fuzzy feelings. Although, I do post updates on the new puppy, Bela Abzug Legosi, and those are sort of fuzzy. The vet creeps me out, he's like a puppy perv, but Caty picked him so she's the one responsible, not me, yet hence not so much with 'the warm'.
Mostly I criticize and carp, although I do fawn over the Buffy comic. It's like a sort of core dump. What I'm thinking while having coffee in the morning and dodging phone calls from my mom. Stuff like that. The sick musings of a malcontent. But hey! My malcontentness is not an affectation. Does that count for anything? Didn't think so.
I'm a personal trainer and I write a fitness blog called Alternative Fit. I also mix in coverage of women doing amazing things in obscure sports because it's just so hard to find information on them. I'm considering adding workout videos to it as well.
