....like what? Are you suggesting that mistreatment of certain groups that form a section of society is something that should be overlooked, because there are more important issues to consider? or are you saying that this subject deserves no attention whatsoever?

I think she was trying to say, rather than trying to joining forces with other countries to marginalize LBGT groups further, by preventing them from having NGO status, we should be focusing on more significant issues (including issues that might empower, rather than disempower, marginalized groups).

Thank you Ronia, that's exactly what I was trying to say, I couldn't have put it more elequently myself. I should have explained further when I first posted, but I was in a rush.
Why do the Bush administration concern themselves so much with LGBT issues? They seem to be overly concerned.
