I grew up, mostly, on Cape Breton Island. My father was a miner so we moved at four times while I was growing up. Most of my times was spent walking about the wilderness that was trying to hold on as the City of Sydney tried to claim it.

The coal my father help mine, would make it way to the steel mill which would produce this unnatural orange smog that woudl light up the sky and be contrast the skyline and snow.

I guess that is why I like Canada, it is quirky.

I'm in Toronto too. I just have not been able to get out of the house as of late to go to any events. After getting married nearly three years ago I found myself drifting away from clubs and the like. Now I want to go out again, although my wife is not big on going out, but finding a group that I fit into becomes the new issue. I wanted to go to the Dyke March but I didn't have anyone to go that day.  Me and my friends went to the parade though.   It was scorching hot that day but it was awesome!

ETA:  Thanks for the pictures, by the way.  I could hardly see the ones without floats since I'm too short.

Just a reminder that Montreal Pride is comig up from the July 29th to Aug 5th with community Day the 28th and the parade the 29th. Hope to see a bunch of you there!
