Sean Penn wins Oscar for "Milk" and in his speech chastises Prop 8 supporters

To me this was the highlight of the Oscars. I really thought Mickey Rourke was going to win for The Wrestler but when they announced Sean Penn for his role as gay activist Harvey Milk, I jumped up and applauded.

Sean went on to say in his acceptance speech that the people in California who voted for Prop 8 should be ashamed and it would affect future generations of their families. I don't remember the speech word for word but it was great and uplifting. He spoke about equal rights and marriage. It was very heartwarming and I hope goes a long way to reversing the idiocy of passage of Prop 8..
