NOT ANOTHER LESBIAN ROAD-TRIP ACTION SEX COMEDY
Ethan Coen (Fargo, Raising Arizona) is back, this time with “a lesbian road-trip action sex comedy” called Drive-Away Dykes, to be directed by Alison Anders (Gas, Food, Lodging) and rumored to be starring Selma Blair and Holly Hunter. The movie follows two lesbian friends who embark on a vacation that goes horribly wrong. The two discover severed heads and plaster casts of erect penises in the trunk of their car, and are soon pursued by the owner of the car and its contents. The press release promises that along the way there will be “laughs, thrills, psychological insights, and plenty of hot lesbian sex…”

Um, okay. I'm not sure whether to be excited about this, or very, very afraid.

METHOD ACTING?
Best Supporting Actress nominee Sarah Paulson attended the Golden Globes sans girlfriend Cherry Jones on Sunday, and eagle-eyed observers reported that during the awards, Perry "leaned over and kissed his Studio 60 co-star Sarah Paulson on the neck as they ate their steak dinner." Hmmmm. I can see why it doesn't look so good: Friends don't kiss friends on the neck, and girlfriends don't let their girlfriends go to the Golden Globes alone when they're nominated for an award, even if the girlfriend is on a national theater tour.

I obviously have no problem with Sarah being bisexual (if she is), and this is all probably nothing, anyway - for all we know, Cherry was home with the flu and Matt was just jacked up on painkillers again. But is it wrong to want to keep one of the few visible celebrity lesbian couples intact? We need the numbers, people! Personal happiness be damned!

AN APOLOGY THREE MONTHS LATER? THAT'S SO GAY.
Recently outed Grey's Anatomy star T.R. Knight went on The Ellen DeGeneres Show this week to discuss the Isaiah Washington name-calling incident, which was ignited again when Washington denied the incident at the Golden Globes on Monday (think, McFly, think!).

After T.R. confirmed on Ellen that Washington did indeed call him a "faggot" and Ellen expressed her dismay, T.R. began thanking Ellen for coming out herself 10 years ago. Unfortunately, he did so just when Ellen was trying to go to a commercial break, so the result is a little awkward, but still sweet.

Washington finally issued a formal apology late yesterday, shortly after ABC issued a statement denouncing his behavior, and scores of media outlets and blogs began calling for him to be fired (read about the whole sordid thing on AfterElton.com). Yeah, I'd be worried about my job right about now, too, Isaiah.
