Gay VideogamesThat's right, lesbians are even making their way into the videoagme industry now...
X-play even ran a segment entitled "gay games" once. Now if any of you have no idea what I'm talking about and are saying "But Shorty, I've never seen lesbians in videogames before..."

I recently got done playing through a little game called Jade Empire. I played through as one of the female characters I convieniently named Fire Crotch and when I came across a character in the game, I coulda swore I was hitting on her. (You can choose from many different things to say during dialogue, it's amazing) and eventually I WAS hitting on her! Haha I was amazed to be honest. Eventually I made the two characters fall in love and they even kissed and everything. It was so heart warming. But apparently there's hidden things like this in a few games, you just gotta play it through right. Apparently you can create lesbian love affairs in Knights of the Old Republic (made by the same company) and in the upcoming Fable 2. You could play as a man in Fable 1 and marry both men and women, hit on them and everything...now for the next installment you have the choice to be a girl and depending on your actions you can even check your status for personality and it will say "gay." I'm sorry but I think that's totally awesome.
Any of you girls run across more "gay games?" The best part about some of these games is it's not offensive at all, in fact the love story in Jade Empire that I "created" was absolutely adorable and I can't wait for more games to start being open ended like that. As a matter of fact (I used to play a couple of mmorpgs) you still can't have same sex marriages in the online gaming world haha...I know that sounds silly but that at one point pissed off a GLBT group on final fantasy xi and all hell broke loose. LOVE those games. But yeah, the first one you could choose your sex and while you didn't explicitly have a g/f, you flirted with Telsia either way. There's a scene in the mess hall where's she's all "hurr, so... you wanna, um..." but then that damn Neelix interrupts! In second game, you can only be male and you explicitly end up with a girl. Unfortunately I think this just feeds into the homophobia that seem rooted in Trek producers :(
Silly TNG
Yes for all the beauty of the Federation they do not seem to embrace the rainbow of possiblities to the same degree they did with the racial acceptance. Sure a hint here and a kiss their but mostly for rating rather than ongoing interest.
I think the trills had a interesting take on transexuals but they seem to blanketly avoid it with the rule that the former lives could not mix with the newer.
I do not know if they did not want to rock the rating or just wanted to ignore it.

i m a star wars big big big fan,i loved kotor(knights of the old republic) , and i was ecstatic when playing a female character i was hitting on female character lol, , but i haven t tried the same on jade empire, so you can create a love strory in it too ?cool i think i ll play it again lol
You should try kotor 2 too you can create love story even more cuz there is much more interaction between the characters!
oh and you can create love stories and family on the sims too ,in it if your characters kiss kiss and kiss a lot they love each others very much and they have babies !lol

There is also The Movies which is similar to The Sims. Basically you run a movie studio and you make films. So if you decide to produce a romantic movie, you can have two girls as the lead actresses and have them make out on screen!!!

Though seriously, this was like a big thing a few months ago on the Blizzard boards with a lot of gay bashing homophobia because someone who advertised an LGBT guild got banned from the forum because having LGBT in the heading was innappropriate somehow according to forum rules :s And of course that started a litany of bible-thumping homophobic posts and other people saying "grow up".

Yeah, I play final fantasy xi and man, i run into some immature people there...like the other day some noob got mad at me for something and was saying "what are you sum dyke?" and of course mispelling everything so I think it was some 12 year old boy. So I say "what if I am?" and he laughs and says "haha you dyke!" i'm like "yeah you keep saying that as if it's offending me" then he said something about licking pussy and I just said "yum" and he stopped talking to me haha.
I love bein a smart ass to 12 year olds.
I had an iso for fear effect 2 on my computer, I really wanted to try it out but the sound was all messed up so I figured it wasn't worth it. I still need to play knights of the old 2 but seriously, if you have Jade Empire, get your flirting on with Silk Fox...it plays out 10x better than knights of the old republic. And besides, who wants to hit on Juhani anyways?

The way out seems to be ignore it or jump in on it (which is a funnier choice, 12 year olds or not =D)
And though FF is sadly crowded with loose-mouth noobs, it's still kinda mild. Can you imagine what's like to be a female charatcer in Quake online? Besides the "girls can't play let's smash her!" factor, I never get one decent death threat =D
But then again, they rarely get to kill me, ha.
And for who played Fear Effect on ps1, I didn't care to 'cause it seemed like a male's lesbian paradise fest, and I'm not too keen on the genre, but if anyone can tell me I'm mistaken I'd like to give it a go...

ah yes, I used to get flamed on halo 2 online all the time...it was lame. not because i'm a girl but...it was weird, my teamates ALWAYS thought that I died the most out of our team, but the truth is my name just sticks out so much they always see "Fart Shard died" and when you look at the stats, you'll see I actually die the LEAST which is funny. One time I kept playing with this same guy, I was always on his team...and he kept flaming me, he thought I was a guy. Then finally, I was put up against him...what did I do? I got a running riot, 12 kills in a row or something, and died only twice the entire round. Then in the chat afterwards I tell him "Before you start yelling at a GIRL for sucking maybe you should check the stats next time BITCH!"
God, I love pretending that I'm 12 sometimes....
Especially when you kick a guys ass who's been giving you shit for being a girl.

But girls still get the eye-roll when it comes to games for some reason. I blame it on my cousin for beating the crap outta me in Mortal Kombat through my entire childhood instead of teaching me the moves... The bastard =D

Oh my brothers used to kick my ass in videogames when I was a youngin, then at about age 9 I started picking up games that required you to ...you know...THINK. I got into zelda and once the 64 and ps1 came out, I became a gamer, and pretty soon I was the one beating the "hard" levels for THEM. "hey lil sis? could you beat this boss for me?"

Summon Night (GBA) has the option of being a make or female character, and whichever you pick becomes the object of Sugar's (the being you can summon) affection. There are some cute little scenes in there.

were just amazing, and so addictive.
I think it woudl be kinda neat to be able to stroll down memmory lane in an 8 bit world again. But I do not think I coudl complete most of the games.

I know that there is one woman who will come on to any character so that you will kill someone. But I do not think that you could start a same sex romance with any of the NPC's I think they have a man and a woman set up depending on what you sex you choose.
I do not know if they added any other possible relationship in what they planned for the final product. Lucasarts wanted it out for Christmas and many of the storylines were dropped. I think this was a mistake because the game it self felt that it ended too sooon and without the spark the first one had.
