It seems to me this whole outing question is moot! Considering things she said in recent interviews and especially since these are obviously the official names of her kids I'd say the reason she is not "coming out" is because she is not "in" ! Unless of course the only "real" coming out is a press announcement? In which case I guess every non famous lesbian who thinks she is out, is in fact mistaken!

Yeah, if you look closely at the surrounds of the two names on the plaque, they're pretty pixilated. Kinda the same effect when you turn a bitmap image into a jpeg. I.e., doctored.

And, I'm SURE we'd know by now if they really had been given a joint name.

I have never really gotten the whole Jodie Foster thing. So many people on this site seem to drool over her, but I've never understood the attraction. I hated Silence of the Lambs. I saw The Accused when I was a teenager, and of course it's a great film but not something I would ever want to watch again--and certainly not a role that would inspire a Jodie crush. Other than those two and Freaky Friday, I don't think I've seen any of her other movies.

But...after seeing her on the Daily Show, I started to kind of see why she's so appealing. My question is this: in addition to the new film coming out, what Jodie Foster movies should I watch first in order to understand the Jodie love. I feel like I need some education in this matter.

i would actually suggest watching a jodie foster marathon from her early roles in movies like 'taxi driver' and 'the little girl who lives down the lane' to her recent work in 'the brave one' and i just saw her wikipedia page and she is in a relationship with Cydney Bernard who according to the page has been her partner for over a decade

I just noticed this from the British paper "The Daily Mail" -- here's the link -- the writer of the article thinks Jodie's wearing a hearing aid. I was wondering if anyone had ever heard that she had suffered some hearing loss . . could this be something else there in her ear? There was a really short Jodie interview in one of Geneva's free daily papers 20 minutes. She doesn't say much and it really is THAT short but I never see things first and I h ave seen this first so I'm making the most of my knowledge and sharing it with y'all. On Dec. 2 Jodie Foster presented the "Trevor Founders Award" to two of the organization's founders, director Peggy Rajski and screenwriter James Lecesne, in memory of the organization's third founder, producer Randy Stone, who passed away unexpectedly in February of this year.

And here is what she said in a release:

“I am extremely pleased to have the opportunity to present the first Trevor Founders Award to Peggy and James in memory of my dearest friend, Randy,” Foster said in a release. “Their inspired decision to establish this vital organization and their ongoing commitment to saving young lives are indeed worthy of recognition. The very fact that, after ten years, Trevor continues to pursue its mission so successfully is a testament not only to the founders’ initial vision, but also to the importance of the organization’s efforts to help desperate young people realize that their lives have value.”

I was thinking that I'd be a bit miffed about that statement if I were Cydney; but, maybe they have an understanding.

anything about being or not being in love, she just says she is analytical, how Parade come to that conclusion, that's another history.

Just read an article in my morning paper where they matter-of-factly identified Jodie and her partner as parents to their two kids.  (Also, Peachblossom720, are you nuts?  I've never heard of two people living together for decades, raising children together under both of their names, wearing matching rings on the traditional wedding band finger, and and so on if they were just "companions".  Denial, it's not just a river in Egypt!)
