News, Reviews & Commentary on Lesbian and Bisexual women in Entertainment and the Media

I think most lesbians are bisexual

Sometimes I find the lesbian community to be really hypocrite. When I hang around with other lesbians and go to lesbian bars/clubs, many lesbians like to make jokes about men and how they find penises disgusting and useless. Lesbians also discriminate concerning bisexual women because they like men and "real lesbians" don't like men etc.

But what I've come to realize after being out of the closet for over 10 years, is that most lesbians are liars when they say they are not attracted to men and are hypocrites for discriminating against women who are. Bisexual women are hated in the lesbian community but they are much more truthful than lesbians. Atleast they admit they are attracted to men. Lesbians like to pretend like they are not when in fact they are. How do I know this?

Well first of all, it's a well known fact that lesbians love gay male porn. They will give you all the reasons in the world as to why they love it like:: "lesbian porn is made by men, not enough real lesbian porn out there, gay men seem to be having fun, gay porn is gay so it's ok to watch it etc."

But no matter what the reason is (most of these reasons are lame), it doesn't change the fact that you need to be sexually turned on by men to enjoy gay porn. I don't care what your excuses are, if a woman is not attracted sexually/physically to the male form and genitalia, she would not find gay porn appealing.

By definition, a lesbian is a woman who is only attracted to other women emotionally and sexually and not to men. By definition. Gay porn contains only NAKED, SWEATY, MUSCULAR, ERECT MEN! And lesbians love it, masturbate to it, buy it, lust after the guys in it! Am I the only logical person here who finds something wrong with this picture? When the movie Brokeback Mountain came out, I was hearing a lot of lesbians saying how they would love to see Jake and Heath do it in real life and how these two are so hot. Sometimes, I think lesbians are more attracted to men than straight women LOL. Interestingly enough, I have never found a gay man who is turned on by lesbian porn/sex.

Secondly, many if not most lesbians fantasize about sex with men either occasionally or frequently. They fantasize about intercourse and giving blowjobs mostly. Many even need to fantasize about men during masturbation in order to have an orgasm.

Thirdly, I think lesbians cheat on their girlfriends with men as much as they do with women. I've met so many women who's girlfriends left them for a man. I've seen so many lesbian couples over the years destroyed because one of them cheated on the other with a man or left them for a man and became a hasbian. There was even an article in the New York Times a couple of years ago on the Hasbian Phenomenon (a hasbian is a woman who used to be a lesbian but is now with men). I've met many many many lesbians who like to sleep with men and they don't sleep with men for cunnilingus lol. They do it because they like the *gulp*...COCK. Let's be honest here: they like getting fucked by a guy's dick. It's crude but it's true. They get more gratification from it than from lesbian sex but feel more emotionally attracted to women. Funny how gay men don't need pussy.

When I was in college, I met lots of lesbians who are no longer lesbian today. They are called LUGS (Lesbian Until Graduation).

Now I know my post will anger some women here because all this is like a big secret in the lesbian world. The only time lesbians confess to it is on the internet when they are protected by anonymity or during scientific studies. But in the real world, lesbians still try to make people believe they are only attracted to women and become insulted if someone doesn't believe them. Lesbians were outraged when Anne Heche left Ellen for a man. How dare she! Yeah, well there are plenty of Anne Heche's in the lesbian community. The truth hurts that's why they were so pissed.

Almost undeserving of a response

But I will give one anyway, for the sake of the lesbian woman's future and credibility.

You have absolutely nothing to back up your series of assumptions about lesbians. Your entire opinion is based about the (probably small) select group of lesbians that you happen to surround yourself with. The only relatively credible source you use is "an article in the NY times a couple of years ago", which sounds relatively vague, and to be honest, somewhat pales in comparison to the hundreds of articles that have since been written in dozens of well-respected newspapers and scientific journals on the 'validity' of female homosexuality.

I wholeheartedly and passionately disagree with a series of statements and wrongful assumptions you have made, as I'm sure many other hundreds of lesbians and bisexuals who read this. "Lesbians love gay porn", "many lesbians fantasize about giving blowjobs", "lesbians cheat on their girlfriends with men" - Whoaaaa. Seriously? In which remote jungle of this planet must you live in to reach these assumption? It's almost entertaining (but mostly pathetic) how convinced you seem on the supposed truth behind these absolutely ludicrous statements.

You're absolutely right in saying that some women will get offended. Your post talks absolute bonanzas. Stick to afterelton.com if you're going to write an article about gay porn, because to be frank - I don't like men.

p.s. Brokeback Mountain was a great, great movie for the positive attention is garnered through some excellent, well-respected cast to the historic struggle and rights of homosexuals throughout rural America. It deserves immense credit, but to say that its success was based on the one sex-scene in the movie is pornographic. On your nymphomanic part.

trolls

we shoudnt be feeding the trolls.

This person just signed in to drop this piece of crap opinion. And there is a difference between a controversial opinion and just wanting to disturb. The way this is is written full of cliches is really laughable.... For example, who doesnt know about the Universal Truth "women say no when they want to say yes" Women, all of them, like sex with men...its just that they say that they dont.

why in the forum?

Seriously? This is a forum. I think you should SHOVE this in your blog somewhere. I get you have an opinion but...

P.s. Yes, some will find this VERY offensive.

It's so ironic you put it under SOCIETY...

Jess's picture

Please take this down, admins

This is ridiculous, and beyond offensive. It is an attack on lesbian identity, and attempts to invalidate lesbian existence. Lesbian women have to deal with this bullshit enough on a daily basis. Please take this shit down.

To the poster: you don't know what you're talking about. You, of course, will not believe that. But you don't. Truly.

As much as I disagree...

As much as I disagree with this forum thread, I don't think this post has violated our terms of use (although it's borderline) as long as it's a legitimate post by an lesbian/bi woman (and it appears to be, based on my review of her registration information). Sweetvanilla has the right to express her opinion, just as all of you have the right to vehemently disagree with it — as long as everyone refrains from making personal attacks and this doesn't devolve into a bi-bashing thread.

This is just one forum topic out of many on the site, and if you find it offensive, I would just ignore it.

Sarah, I must disagree

I'm really just going to try and press this issue for a minute.

As I understand trolling: a troll is a person who enters an established community such as an online discussion forum and intentionally tries to cause disruption, often in the form of posting messages that are inflammatory, insulting, incorrect, inaccurate, absurd, or off-topic, with the intent of provoking a reaction from others

This person has been a member for a couple of hours.

Also, to quote the original post: (Regarding lesbians) "Let's be honest here: they like getting fucked by a guy's dick."

It's ridiculous. I'm going to reiterate that I REALLY think this should be taken down.

Anonymous's picture

Pardon?

I had to read your post three times over before I was willing to believe that what I just read is really written there. Sorry Sarah, but you leave me no other choice than to get critical here. I'm just going to assume that you know the difference between criticism and condemnation

"As much as I disagree with this forum thread, I don't think this post has violated our terms of use (although it's borderline) as long as it's a legitimate post by an lesbian/bi woman (and it appears to be, based on my review of her registration information)."

So throwing a lot of offensive bull at lesbians is OK as long as it is done by a woman? If a woman engages in bi-bashing on this site, she is quickly ruled in by the moderators, and rightly so. In this case, the gender obviously doesn't make any difference. But it makes a difference when it's about lesbians?

And "she" appears to be legit? Your statement does not really imply certainty, does it? We both know your possibilities to verify the identity of the person behind the user-name sweetvanilla are limited. Neither is AE a state authority of any kind, nor does it engage in online business. And every 5 year old is able to rig up a fake email account.

"Sweetvanilla has the right to express her opinion, just as all of you have the right to vehemently disagree with it — as long as everyone refrains from making personal attacks and this doesn't devolve into a bi-bashing thread."

Personal attacks? Have you read what she posted? I definitely consider this a personal attack on every single lesbian on this planet. And bi-bashing? Sorry, but the only ones getting bashed here are lesbians.

"This is just one forum topic out of many on the site, and if you find it offensive, I would just ignore it."

Seriously? Are you aware that you could say exactly the same to any bi-woman on this site who complains about bi-bashing? As I already pointed out, if bi-bashing occurs, the perpetrators are quickly ruled in by the moderators, and again I say: rightly so. But if lesbians have a load of bull thrown into their faces, the only thing you have to say is: "If you don't like it, just ignore it."?

Let me ask you a question, Sarah:

"I've met many many many bisexual women who are simply promiscuous sluts. They are not able to have a stable monogamous relationship. They are only happy as long as they can fuck both sexes. It's crude, but it's true."

"I've met many many many lesbians who like to sleep with men and they don't sleep with men for cunnilingus lol. They do it because they like the *gulp*...COCK. Let's be honest here: they like getting fucked by a guy's dick. It's crude but it's true. They get more gratification from it than from lesbian sex but feel more emotionally attracted to women."

Is there any substantial difference in offensiveness between these two statements? And if the first statement is bi-bashing, then what is the second one?

I'm getting a growing impression there is some kind of double-standard in place here on AE. Bi-bashing? BIG NO NO! Lesbian-bashing? Ahh...well...it depends.

Not defending the OP

I'm not defending the original poster at all, but I'm missing the double standard regarding bi-bashing and lesbian-bashing.  Maybe you haven't seen a number of the threads I have regarding bisexuality, there are so many it's easy not to catch them all, but there's a whole lot of bi-bashing that goes unchecked by the moderators on AE.  Some threads don't even start out about bisexuality but devolve into a bi-bashing fest.  I do not say this in support of lesbian-bashing.  I'm against that too.  The only time I really see any type of bashing nipped in the bud by the moderators is when what I guess are over-the-top expletives are in a post.  I can't be sure of that since on the rare occasion when I've seen a moderator address such a thing it's been deleted.

Missed perhaps, but not unchecked.  There are a lot of threads and it is entirely possible that I miss an inappropriate post once in awhile.  If I've missed a post that needs to be reviewed, feel free to send me a PM with the link.

This is inaccurate.  Unfortunately, bi-bashing is probably the most moderated type of post/discussion on the forums.  Other then spammers, bi-bashers also are the most banned type of poster.

zephyr...

...I did not read through each and any thread on this site which could possibly contain bi-bashing. Neither do I have the time, nor the motivation to do so. But in all threads I have seen in which bi-bashing occured, the were always posts of moderators, mostly Harpy, with clear words of warning to those who were flinging around boneheaded prejudices about bi-woman or simply offending them. And as Harpy said, if there's some bi-bashing which has flown beneath the radar so far, then the best idea is to inform her about it.

What baffels me is, although I don't see any difference in offensiveness between what sweetvanilla has put out here (and it goes far beyond the "lesbians are closeted bisexuals" opinion, it deeply delves into chauvinism and misogyny) and what has been deemed as offensive towards bi-women in the past, the only offical reaction for days now has been Sarah showing up and doing nothing else than symbolically shrugging her shoulders about it. I would have expected someone with authority on this site to give the same kind of warning which has been given to those who engaged in bi-bashing in the past. But if the police is not there to do the job, then the citizens will have to do it themselves. And given the grade of offensiveness in what this vanillacracker has put out here, no one should expect the response to be civilized. The way you shout into the woods, the woods will shout back you.

  I agree with Tia

I agree with Tia and think there is an unintentional double standard when it comes to biphobic compared to homophobic comments. I believe both are wrong and should be treated equally. It would be offensive if i paraphrased the OP's words and replaced lesbian and bisexual, and the gender and sexual orientation of the person  should not matter. Some LGBT people can be as sexist and homophobic as non-LGBT members. Besides, we know how easy it is to pretend to by anyone online.

Let me provide you with an example by just exchanging lesbian and bisexual in the above comment. I'm not saying this thread should be banned or censored but the OP should be warned and it should be made clear how her words and offensive and insensitive to the lesbian women here. I really enjoy AE Sarah, but I don't think threads like this should pass without some criticism from the moderators.

"Sometimes I find the bisexual community to be really hypocrite. When I hang around with other bisexuals and go to bisexual/straight bars/clubs, many bisexuals like to make jokes about lesbians with straight women about  how easy it is to find lesbians who would easily trust and sleep with them. But what I've come to realize after being out of the closet for over 10 years, is that most bisexuals are liars when they say they are really attracted to both  women and men and are hypocrites for pretending to demonstrate that.

Lesbian women, who fall outside "traditional gender" norms, are hated in the mainstream community and among bisexual women because they don't fall within the stereotypes that most straight and bi people want them to. At least a lot of straight people admit they have a dislike for those that don't fall within their narrow definitions of what it means to belong to a particular gender. They are much more truthful than bisexuals. At least they admit and are clear about their intentions. Bisexuals like to pretend like they are open minded and all relationships matter equally when they in fact do not in reality. How do I know this?

If she is serious about same sex relationships, more energy and emphasis should be placed on lesbian porn. However, if more emphasis is placed on straight porn that should obviously indicate where her loyalties lie.

By definition, a bisexual is a woman who is  attracted to both men and women emotionally and sexually. By definition someone who watched only straight porn can only understand heterosexual relationship dynamics, not same sex ones particularly in cases where the female is hardly the focus. Why aren't you expressing your love for women and their bodies by watching lesbian porn, made for and by lesbian and bi women? Why would you rather watch porn that contains NAKED, SWEATY, MUSCULAR, ERECT MEN and women in heterosexual relationships rather than lesbian and bi women in same sex relationships! And bisexuals love it, masturbate to it, buy it, lust after the guys more than the women in it! Am I the only logical person here who finds something wrong with this picture? When the movie Kissing Jessica Stein came out, I was hearing a lot of bisexuals saying how they love  the heterosexual couples there more, would rather see them do it and would rather see the heterosexual relationship and scenes than the same sex ones and how they preferred the ending.  Sometimes, I think bisexuals are more attracted to men than straight women LOL. Interestingly enough, I have never found a bi man who is turned on by straight porn/sex more than the gay version.

The only time bisexuals confess to it is on the internet when they are protected by anonymity or during scientific studies. But in the real world, bisexuals still try to make people believe they are attracted to both men and women in all ways and become insulted if someone doesn't believe them. Bisexuals were outraged when Anne Heche was used as a common stereotype for the community. How dare she, as an out bi woman, with only one lesbian relationship be used as an example for all bi women out there! Yeah, well there are plenty of Anne Heche's in the LGBT community. The truth hurts that's why they were so pissed. "

Anyone can see just how offensive and completely inaccurate the above is. It makes about that much sense as well. That's what the original thread sounds like. As someone who is female but not sure where I lie on the sexual orientation spectrum  I can definitely see that. Does the fact that I might label myself as bi justify me in posting the above.  How many generalizations and stereotypes are being recycled in this thread about lesbians? How is that different to me recycling inaccurate generalisations and stereotypes about bisexual women?

Sorry May-May I was

Sorry May-May I was referring to Libra's post and the generalization that she assumed the person was male. So I was making fun of common stereotypes and generalizations. As a gay male who enjoys reading and posting on afterellen, I appreciated your comment where you said it was an ignorant person and didn't mention gender.

oh wow!

I bet you have to comment that a lot! B/c there is not only bi-bashing and lesbian-bashing on afterellen, there is certainly a lot of male-bashing! But when women make up half of the planet yet make less than 10% of the money on the planet... its hard for women not to express such anger and stereotyping towards men, though stereotyping is always unexcusable.   Nevertheless, thanks for being a gay man and reading afterellen! Talk about breaking stereotypes! :)

guac03's picture

Umm..

I think you're making tons of generalizations about the lesbian community as a whole that you shouldn't be making. I have never known any lesbian who fantasized over giving blowjobs to guys...I certainly don't. I agree that sometimes the lesbian community can be pretty awful toward individuals who are bisexual, but that has been changing a lot. To come out here and assume that all lesbians watch gay porn, are completely fake, are LUGs, whatever, is insane. You're doing precisely the thing we're all trying to avoid-making overgeneralizations about an incredibly diverse community. You mention Anne Heche leaving Ellen for a guy, but make no mention of the fact that Ellen has never done anything of the sort NOR implied that she ever liked guys...a complete contradiction to your assumptions.
rainbowcoloredbutterfly's picture

Ok this is homophobic and

Ok this is homophobic and sexist on a massive scale. You believe a gay male identity is genuine but that lesbian identity is not as clear cut or genuine. I hope some bi women defend against what's being said about lesbians, like many lesbians here have against things said against bisexuals.

Your words are just as bad as biphobic people invalidating a bi identity. It's like lesbians saying bisexuals are pretenders, posers, fake straights or lesbians rather than bi people. There is no point in taking out your anger and frustration from your personal experiences on others.

Maybe the people you were talking about were closet bisexuals rather than lesbians.

TruMischief's picture

Opinions every one has one

it seems clear you felt the need to vent, I think people will respond and maybe that will give you relief from your frustration.  Having said that, whenever discussing anything it is impossible to paint things with a broad brush.  It is impossible for someone else to say what I think or feel unless I tell them what I think or feel and am honest when I do so.

I think there is a division in the community between some lesbians and bi-sexual women but that is something that should be handled by the individuals that find themselves in that situation.  There was actually a good rational discussion on bisexuality where a variety of us spoke about our feelings on the matter.

There is plenty of scientific evidence in peer reviewed journals that you might want to research to see how much merit your opinion holds.

I hope you can find a way to let go of your anger, what your post demonstrated was someone who sounded angry and hurt.

incurablygay 's picture

Glad to see you mentioned

Glad to see you mentioned homophobic straight females and males as well as prejudiced gay males. She could also be a prejudiced bi girl as well. Just saying.
eve_jig_it's picture

I

I would be very bemused if a lesbian had written this piece in the manner and conviction that it has been written, because it would just make no sense to me at all, all of this, coming from someone who would call themself a lesbian!

But true!...this 'user' could be a bi-girl who's maybe in denial (or something pent-up along those lines) and thus feels the need to come up with such a statement like its near fact, which obviously it isn't, in order to vent her feelings of hurt or confusion towards our community etc, which of course IS a very reasonable possibility, yes. As a bisexual girl myself though, I wouldn't understand why a bi girl would feel such a need to emphasise 'the like' for penis, which would just be expected of any bisexual person's mindset anyway!?? Because while I obviously have no problem with the idea of having sex with a man, I wouldn't on the other side of it think to come up with what this 'user' has, and then blurt it out on a lesbian and bi girl forum where the users in majority are going to be ones who actually like/care for/and respect girls (regardless of whether they share those same feelings for men also). I mean, I love and desire women in equal measure to that of men (physically and mentally etc, if not maybe more)..., and so hold no bias or praise to what the penis can or can't provide to females who like or even prefer the physical/and mental company of that of other women. I mean, even for some straight girls the penis isn't all that fulfilling, and so why 'this user' has to make out that its what lesbians want when not even some straight girls do...I don't really understand!??? I myself don't feel the need to promote the dick, which in my personal opinion is only a big deal anyway if the person attatched to it is also something pretty major too. And just because I call myself bi and not completely lesbian, would not feel the need to confront lesbians about whether they do or don't harbour hidden feelings for men's dick eitherAnd that is why I highlighted that maybe this post was written by a prejudice male or female that either has little liking, sympathy or understanding for non-heterosexual females, and thus why they felt the need to so adamantly express that dick/and gay male porn is what lesbians need, desire and want to watch etc. I got the feeling that the person who wrote this *really* thinks that females need/and can't live without dick and even tried to further emphasise such a point by going as far as saying that even lesbians (who are meant to desire women and their bodies)...crave dick to such an extend that gay porn is what they go to as a substitue for not getting it while they're in a relationsip with a woman who obviously doesn't have one herself.

I could only see someone who was totally ''male loving'' in whatever capacity (i.e.., a straight male himself, gay male or straight female) as the type of person that would feel so strongly about this, and therefore also feel the huge need to express themself with this feeling also. Again, I don't see why a lesbian would feel this and say that lesbians were "hypocrites" as this person did say etc. And sure, a bi-girl with the opposite mental attitude of myself may well feel similarly like a prejudice male/female that is gay/straight or bi also. But as I mentioned before, I just think that its obvious that any bisexual person is gonna be happy and have no problem with dick on a man (or likewise vagina on a woman)...because its in their emotional capabilities to love both anyhow. So, going back, it just felt like someone whom felt a very strong feeling for (or even alligence to) the dick and its use, purpose and fulfilment of..., would be the same kind of person that would in turn be so bothered about expressing its importance to 'even lesbian's' on a lesbian/bi forum that caters mainly for lady loving women who are no doubt gonna have a few things to say about how they love women and what they have to offer, also. I am sorry that I couldn't express myself in lesser words, but this is just how I felt about the type of person who came on here and wrote such a load of ''cock and bull".
incurablygay 's picture

Maybe she (or he) just

Maybe she (or he) just wants to cause pain because she's been rejected by a lesbian or another bi girl or someone female. Causing pain by mentioning such things that could hurt and enrage the lesbian (and bi female members here), make them feel uncomfortable and allow her/him to invade a place which is meant to be a safe sanctuary. Maybe it is lesbian-phobia which is causing this. Maybe she has internalized homophobia and is in denial of her own feelings. Maybe she wants to strike back at the LGBt community for being unwelcoming. Like some lesbians (as seen in the bi thread) may not get or feel bisexuality is valid maybe this poster (if bi) wants to make a similar point. That her/his sexual orientation is the only real sexual orientation.

On the other hand it could be a homophobic straight male who has had his gf leave him for a girl and wants to sow further divisions between the lesbian and bi community, make them suspicious of each other, makes them not want to date each other so they would date homophobic straight males instead. Maybe its someone part of a homophobic organization or an ex-gay mention trying to secretly make young lesbians/bi people facing homophobia rethink their identity by seeming to be part of the "group." The oldest rule in the book of divide and rule. Something which can often be used to fracture and minimize the LGBT movement. You know  by building animosity between the L and B side of the G and L, the G and B, and all three letters being hostile to the Ts. I wouldn't rule that possibility out.

It could be any of the above. Maybe the straight homophobe has had his straight gf leave him for someone else so the need to prove himself in a place where most would not be interested. Maybe he is a gay male with internalized homophobia who wants to discredit homosexuality due to his homophobic feelings or make male homosexuality seem right.  Though the chances of that do seem kind of rare as most gay men would be indifferent to the sexual lives of women in general because it does not affect them. But I guess it is possible. Though I think the person is straight or bi of either gender.

That and cause record number of comments on her thread. That's what the hit and run members tend to do when they post something inflammatory.  I doubt it would be a gay male unless he was a misogynistsic, sexist or unfeeling gay male who doesn't understand homophobia. It may be possible but rare. Could be a homophobic straight or bi male/female though. I know you are bi and i don't want to sound offensive but there are bi people out there who are homophobic just as there are gay people who are bi phobic. She seems to be of that inflammatory category. Besides, she does call herself a bi female and relate quite a few experiences which maybe those who have suffered biphobia can relate to. Maybe she is on the more "attracted to the opposite sex" side of bisexuality or maybe she calls herself bi but really isn't. Maybe she's just hetero-flexible. Why a gay male would pose as a woman and use homophobia on a lesbian site is beyond me so i doubt it is a gay male. Nothing is impossible though.

I'm sorry if i came across as non-sympathetic but that's what i think. I swear I didn't know you were bi when i posted the above comment.

Does it really matter?

Whether they are male or female, gay, straight or bi? Going off about the possible explanations is almost as bad as what the poster is doing, because they are based on prejudice as well. "It might be a bi girl who's annoyed, or a resentful straight male"...what?? It could very well be an ignorant lesbian or gay male, even a straight woman, it doesn't matter. The post is just full of unsustained arguments(?) that obviously come from someone with no real information about the lesbian community . Being straight, I happen to know a lot about it and I dissagree with pretty much everything they exposed, so let's not get into gender or sexual preference generalizations when the only point should be the post being insulting and offensive, not only for lesbians and bisexuals, but anyone with common sense.

It doesn't matter at all but

It doesn't matter at all but i felt that generalizing ther person to automatically be male or a gay male not really accurate. As a gay male, i found that unfair. The person posting this could be anyone of any sexual orientation. That is not important. What is important is challenging the content of the OP's comments, particularly in the way she generalizes it. I found that to be kind of troubling. Thanks for the comment Halliar.

...

I agree with incurablygay... the most disturbing part of that entire rant has to do with the fact that s/he seems to have very little regard to individuality, and I think it was constructive to consider all of the possible options.  We'll never solve problems like this without a flexible point of view and the ability to empathize before attacking the things we don't understand the way that this thread has.

I personally got the impression that this particular person has only a limited and biased amount of experience to draw from with little to no regard to the experience of others.  (and so you see how dangerous it is to react the same way, I hope.)  It is definitely unfair to label this automatically as a male poster because I can see a confused woman making the same assumptions if torn by her desire to belong to an accepting community versus being honest with her biological makeup.  I wonder if it's  possible to be a bi-curious lesbian? hah...

This is stupid; you can't

This is stupid; you can't speak for all lesbians when you haven't met the majority of them. Maybe the ones you have been around are like this and maybe you are like this, but you can't demean a whole sector of people best on these small little examples of why you think all lesbians are just faking. Some of which make no sense, all lesbians love gay porn! I don't think so. If this is your whole argument, it sucks.  also there are probably allot who are bi sexual but don't really understand or want to accept it, this sounds like the problem you brought up in your second argument it isn't that all lesbians are actually bi or just want the emotional aspect to it it's just like how some straight women wouldn't say they were bi I'm sure there is a lesbian or two who is the same. Again just a small amount of people

Ash's picture

I think that...

Yes, this seems to be based on people you know, not the lesbian community at large. It's really dangerous to overclassify and generalize about people, thus making it... shall we say... politically incorrect? A rant to vent your anger about those you know is okay, but to say that everybody was like that is offensive to people.

Now to perhaps defend those among us who like men; I think it goes back to hormones and how Nature wired women for sexual reproduction. It's natural to like men because that's how Nature gets people to make babies and continue the species, and it's also natural to like women only because that's how it is.

And by the way, I don't like gay male porn.

Got a style to flaunt? What do you wear or say to attract other women? Show it off in the 'What should be the lesbian indicators?' thread under Surveys and Questionnaires! Do it!

Troll?

I'm new to this site and recently read the Terms of Use for postings. There was something about "trolling" and I was a little confused as to when that would come up. Now though, I completely understand.

All the best everyone.

I don't watch Family Guy very often but think I may start because of your quote. Absolute genius. Thanks for the smile.

Family Guy = hilarity

Haha, you're very welcome! Glad I could bring you a smile amidst such an unfunny troll attack. :)

I don't know where to start

I don't even think I'll dignify that with an answer. Seems to me like someone is getting their kicks outa rocking the boat. Well, I'm not going to rise to it. Bet it was easier writing all those things when your safe at home hiding behind the computer screen, but it wouldn't be so easy saying them to our faces. Sounds like you got burned, or your angry about something. My advice is to try and deal with it in more constructive ways. This is no place to spread those kinda vibes.

PS I'm proud of reading the comments above and seeing how we strongly but graciously defend ourselves without stooping to your level. Still, I don't think this is the place where we should have to be defending ourselves.
